Was at the game as a Neutral.First half was nip and tuck.Soft first goal for Lifford which they just about deserved.Bunratty look a good side.Nice and Balanced.Fitness levels were probably the major difference between the teams. One thing I will say is that the lifford manager was an absolute disgrace. His comment about injuring a Bunratty player was nothing short of a disgrace. His players started to take his view on things by really taunting the opposition (3rd division). It is a poor reflection on Lifford.Fantastic facilities but sadly no Class on or off the field shown by players or Management.
Shame on you Lifford
"Bath Avenue or Shelbourne" 1895
Well done to Lifford on their win. No doubt the better team won but 5-0 was a bit harsh on us.
Have to agree on the comments about Lifford and their manager. Was shocked to hear some of the stuff he was sayin. I only knew after the game that he was mouthing to Bunratty players all thru the game. Bit sad really when a man sinks to this level...might be more in his line to try win a trophy for once.
tell them to have a look on clare league website .. code of ethics
lifford must have lost their copy:

Whats funny is that Lifford have a sign in the away dressing room saying to respect all players managers and referee's...
I wonder if the same sign is in the home dressing room???
Also worth mentioning that the Clare People felt it necessary to mention in their match report that the ref had to speak to the Lifford manager during the game.
Anyway that game is over and best to luck to Lifford above in Liscannor in Round 2.

can't give an opinion on the lifford's managers behaviour but i must disagree with this type of behaviour by the lifford management if it is true. although i do not know how it all started ,there must be another side to the story.
as for lads printing these ethics on here... maybe you can show them to the current bunratty players. i had one of them spit on me during a game, the most disgusting thing that any opponent has done in all my time playing sport
that's a very bold accusation to make plasticpitch. i certainly never saw one of my team mates spit at an opposing player! who was the player so?
Can I just ask the Question Plastic Pitch.Did this incident happen last Sunday or was this a previous run in you had with a Bunratty Player?I happen to Know the Bunratty B manager and If he thought that one of his players had done something like this then action would be taken
"Bath Avenue or Shelbourne" 1895
Never heard of this incident before. I'd be surprised if it did happen but I suppose no club can claim to be 100% perfect.
well it did happen and i would have no problem standing in front of a judge if i had to. i can imagine that the player in question would be quite embarassed after doing it... he is lucky i didn't break his jaw but that would have been exactly what he wanted for me to get sent off.
dave hogan who was bunratty's captain that day and i went and showed him his team mates doing... he was to say the least disgusted, if ya want a witness talk to dave!!
ok... so nobody is perfect i didnt mention this incident until now on this site because of all this s**t talk about lifford from bunratty. it is a pity when players and opposing managers get into a slagging match but it happens all the time for whatever reason
when is the last time you can make a transfer in clare?
'You should never have a bad game, off the ball.......'
I dont think you will be in front of a judge for the incident C...
However I agree its an awful thing to do.
Also, where is the s**t talk from Bunratty on here... If you were at the game last Sunday you would have seen the behaviour of yere manager. Even some of the Lifford players were not happy with him.
As I have said earlier best team won and best of luck to them in Round 2. Now I have no more to add to this topic.
Well done to Rineanna last night. Beat Granville 2-0 in MJC. Away to Fairview or Ballyvolane (Cork AUL) in next round.
Well done Hacker, good result last night. Next game will be much harder test but its cup football and best of luck.
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later
FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT
