Felt it was a very poor game myself, ball spent most time in the air and really suited Rineanna. Olympic only had 1 real chance from Quigley after equalising and I felt Rineanna were the better team on the day. However, they will need to improve and make sure they all get an early night

before the cup final and not throw another chance of a medal away.

Rineanna deserved to go through alright but I heard from a few lads that one or two of their players were on the beer the night before, not the best preparation for a cup semi-final

I see the Clare People carry a story today that Rineanna could be missing 4 players for the final cos its a hurling weekend. Surely if the hurling is on Sat then the soccer could be played Sunday or vice versa.

Its actually 5 players - I can't see the GAA changing and if they change to the Sunday they won;t allow their players to miss the 1st round - ideally the hurling is on the Friday night and the Cup fixture can stay as is - in fairness NOF Gaa are going ot see what they can do but like I said it's unklikely to change

Disagree completely, hope the GAA don't compromise and teach these "GAA" soccer teams a lesson...only way forward for soccer in this county.

lifford b will b missing a hurler aswell but we did'nt build or team around
gaa heads made that mistake last year teams should no the risk of
having gaa players on there team and should'nt complain when
the inevitable happens this forum is about soccer not gaa which
dos'nt deserve a mention since its never shown any tolerence for clare football there will b two teams of soccer players contesting the cup
final anyone who dos'nt take their oppertunity to play in it dos'nt deserve
a mention!!!!!!!!! anyway will it b played in the county grounds????

Something to consider - Rineanna is a 1 team club with the majority of players from the aera - unlike Lifford they do not have the same availablilty / selection aera of players - this can be said for most 1 team clubs and unfortunatly there is nothing that can be done and the clubs have to put up with it - am i correct in saying that Rineanna is the only 1 team club in the Premier ?

last time rineanna reached the cup final 99... lifford B never.
next time players can play championship game ... emmm the week after.
i'm sure it would be different if the 5 rineanna players turned around and said they were playing the cup final and not playing the gaa match.. then maybe the club might try to get the fixture changed. however i think that playrs are almost intimidated by their clubs with threats that they'll never play gaa again and all that ******ology... its a honour to play in the cup final. and no player shpuld risk his sides chances of winning by playing a poxy gaa match a day before the final.

Interesting...lucky for ye that your manager had enough pull to bring in the 5 "foreigners" in the starting line up last weekend then? Otherwise you might be a "0" team club...

Newmarket is the final venue, hopefully they will let ye play on the good pitch.

Burren are Premier and dont have a B team.

Who is the 5th player ye have affected by hurling that weekend. 2 Kellys, Daithai and KD are 4. Oige plays I know but Cratloe have no game that weekend according to the paper.

Agree 100% plastic. Its happens every year.When will clubs learn to stop the rednecks signing at the start of the year unless the soccer is number one choice....

God you better tell your gaa players not to sign next year incase ye get into a clash with gaa.

We always tell GAA players not to sign with us but we do point them in your direction if they want to stay fit during the off-season
