My iTunes has the year of Pearl Jam's Ten as 1992 for some reason...

'92 was another really good year: Henry's Dream, Copper Blue, It's A Shame About Ray, Piece of Cake and Dry.

1992 was REM, Automatic for the People? But Alice in Chains 'Dirt' a worthy mention too.

Is our discussing 1992 now due to 1991 being a dead contest?

    Bring on 92.

Ah the good old Doctor. Probably the 90s' most influential artist.

You wonder what more you could want. Well, I may have just the thing - a treat for you on my CD! As funnily enough, to this day - courtesy of his 2008 release, the astounding early 90s-homage Back to Basics - the Doctor's stunning vocals continue to be prescribed to sooth even the most thumping of headaches... and boy are they effective. Yes, there's nothing quite like slitting your neck for that headache-ending antidote you were searching for. Diagnosis served, Mr Ritchie is gettin one of Dr Alban's classic new tracks on his CD.

Wasnt Rage Against the Machine's debut in 1992? If so, Im sticking that one down. Still sounds amazing and still sounds relevant.

I'm sure Nirvana will win but it could be any one of 4 for Me REM, Primal Scream, Massive Attack & Pearl Jam all first class records, in the end I went for the Scream, seen them live a few times & they rawk so I have lot's of good memories of Movin on Up etc..

In 1992 I was mostly listening to releases from (Some have endured better than others):

    James - Seven
    Ride - Going Blank Again
Jesus and Mary Chain - Honeys Dead
Inspiral Carpets - Revenge of the Goldfish
    The Charlatans - Between 10th and 11th

I just looked at my '93 albums - Belly, BooRadleys, Breeders, Engine Alley, Tindersticks, Red House Painters, Suede, Orbital, Posies, Smashing Pumpkins. When will this get easier? (circa 2001?)

    Yeah - '93 also had:

Blur - Modern Life is Rubbish
Verve - A Storm in Heaven

Already agonising over Giant Steps V Modern Life.

Had a look at the list of released albums on wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_in_music
I was listening to Pocketful of Kryptonite around that time, although it was probably after the singles came out later that year/early 1992
