Only place I can see delusion and drama queen outbursts is in thinking that a local London newspaper would suddenly pounce on week old news, or that the whole nation would suddenly see the light a week later and somehow plunge the whole eL into some sort of embarrassed crisis.

If it makes you happy, I agree that it's not ideal to call the game off two weeks beforehand, but it's nowhere near as big a deal as you're making out.
The question still stands though - at what point did the penny drop and UCD realise that a game against Milwall would have higher than usual security costs ?

I can't fathom how UCD could have got themselves into such a situation.

Have Milwall suddenly earned a hooligan tag in the last 2 weeks.....?

It is very obvious you are now trying to wind-up not one but two football clubs. Your own local side Millwall FC and an obvious threat to any talented young players floating around, UCD AFC, over what? A friendly that was arranged and then cancelled all in a considered measured time. Is it that there is no problem that upsets you the most?

Derry City FC fans are one of the last LoI club fans to be critising others for failure to show for a game. Topical tournament at the moment

    RSC Anderlecht - Derry City 9-0 "

If I could trust moderators to police the threadf fairly I would make an official complaiont but regular poster with high post counts get special treatment on this forum. It does not stop you from being an obvious wind-up-merchant.

Harpo Joyce - you've just lost it here...

The Anderlecht game was over 40 years ago and came at a time when the IFA were trying to stop us using the Brandywell for European games. Hence why it was an issue.

As for Moderation - I can assure you I have DaHamsta breathing down my neck for the most inoccuous petty things all the time. Though nice try to 'force the refs hand' here....

Beyond that your post makes little sense and is extremely defensive. I still fail to see how UCD didn't think that Milwall would have inflated security costs. It may not be nice to admit it - but it's a rather amateur fcuk-up by the club. How did Shels and Bray manage to get this right, but UCD didn't....? If you can't see there's a genuine question there, then don't bother responding at all please.

Your questions will never end, because the match itself isn't going ahead, you can talk about the non-existent game, ad infinitum(more European references). You have already added some extra questions by comparing us with other clubs who have different experiences of security at their own grounds. You will never be satisfied, so it's better to put you on a starvation diet.

Thats because you're a ****ing thick steve, who simply cannot understand ANYTHING that isn't spelt out for them.

UCD DID undertstand that the costs would be higher, but didn't realise how high they would be. They decided it wasn't in their best interests to hold the game.

Shels and Bray thought the costs were manageable and decided to hold game.

Either way, it doesn't really matter to anybody, as anybody who wanted to see Millwall had their chance with the Shels and Bray games, and its fairly obvious that UCd fans didn't want the game to go on.

The fact that it annoys you so much shows that only petty fools with a hard on for UCD and pedantry cared enough to complain.
