Thumbs up Sunderland Organising Committee Release

    Sunderland Sub Committee Release

As part of our ethos of continuing to inform the membership of Cobh Ramblers of our progress in delivering the club and its membership with an event they can be proud of, detailed below is an outline of where we are to date.

    Souvenir Matchday Program

This has been delivered to the club and is on sale tonight for €5 and it will be on sale in local, East Cork and Cork city outlets from Monday. We have raised nearly €20,000 worth of advertising revenue from this alone.

    Supporters Match

Ramblers and Sunderland fans will participate in a match to be held at St. Colmans Park on Sunday the 27th of July at 5.00pm. This match has been sponsored by Beamish & Crawford and there will be presentations, food and a DJ in the club afterwards. Our aim here is to forge strong links between Cobh and Sunderland. There will be a donation taken at the gate and all proceeds will go to Cobh Hospital.

    Fundraising Luncheon

To date, in excess of 300 tickets have been sold and our aim is to reach 440 before the day arrives. We would encourage members/fans to take up tickets for this unique event. Tickets are €150 per head or €1,500 for a table of 10 and the package includes,

Complimentary Pre Lunch bar courtesy of Beamish & Crawford.
    4 Course lunch including wine
    Souvenir Matchday Program.
    Match Ticket
Auction(including signed Sunderland Jersey, weekends away etc).
Guest speakers to include Niall Quinn and John Delaney.
    Transfers to Turners Cross.

We the Sub Committee would appreciate any input from any members/fans of Cobh Ramblers FC that would help us with the running of the event as we would like to avail of this opportunity to involve new people in the clubs activities.

If any one would like to help please do not hesitate to talk to anyone from the committee, members listed below.

John McCarthy, Lesley Mellerick, John Lawlor, Angela McCarthy, Kieran McCarthy, Derek Corcoran & John Mansworth.

Co-ordinator of Supporters Match – Mike Bardsley.

It looks like great work has been done by this committee.Well done to all concerned.

Any chance of some of these guys being co-opted to the Management Committee to shore the gaps left by the 4 re-signees?!
