I think it is alright article, it is straight enough although that line about letting
"Nick Leeson running a football club! You might as well put Thaksin Shinawatra in charge of Amnesty International" is very funny although a little cruel but funny. All the facts seem about right as well.
Galway benefited from Leeson's profile when times were good, but the flip side was always likely to be that if things turned sour that the problems would also get a lot of coverage for the same reason.
Incidentally, the Grauniad was written by Homer several centuries ago and details the eternal search of a football league for a quick fix solution to all its problems. In the end it was eaten by a giant moth.
