Cant understand how he is suspended. If u get sent off in Champions League or FA Cup in UK then you dont miss the next Premier league game..I presume its the same here in that if u get sent off in FAI/MSC then the suspension only counts for next round of that competition only.

I've been ringing around for Pats fans for the past few days and most places are full because its peak season in Cobh. Bellavista is defo full anyway. There is a list of local places on the CobhNet site here in the Business Directory section here

Heading into last nights game i was not expecting us to pick up any points but when final whistle went i was disappointed thought we at least deserved a point we kept pats out for most of the and our midfield held its shape much better. The ref was at fault for some of our bad luck and i think we had . on a brighter note if we play like that in our nexr two matches we will definatly pick up six points and hopefully be well on our way to surviving

Poor game I thought. Cobh showed great discipline though and played with 10 men behind the ball for most of the game. As above if you play like that against the better teams you should definitely pick up a few points.

Definately some positives to take i thought the midfield were well up to it although we did have ten behind the ball at all times and Cummins found it hard on his own.Kenny was class and it makes for a tight defence when Guthrie comes back the only place we seem to be lacking is we have no wingers..

Despite the defeat it was a fantastic performence by Ramblers.

The back four were brilliant. Kenny Coleman was brilliant. His crosses were deadly accurate all night. Great to see him as captain. I've always said he has the potential to captain Ramblers and last night he proved what a great player he is and how valuable a player he is to us. Here's hoping he stays in the team because in my opinion he should be starting every week.
Have to compliment John Kearney aswell, playing out of poition at centre-back against the best team in the league and he didn't put a foot wrong all night.
Midfield were superb. Greg was tackling hard and Colin was constantly cleaning up. Davin played well as did Lally.
Stephen Mulcahy was outstanding. He man-marked Keith Fahey for 75 minutes and took him out of the game so much so that Mark Quigley kept having to drop back to get the ball. Mul was the first player i've seen this year to take Fahey out of the game and thats no easy feat!
Cummins worked his arse off and got no reward which was unfortunate.

I personally thought we deserved a draw. If we played like that against any other team in the league we would have hammered them.

I never thought i'd say this but I thought the referee had a great game, as did his assistants. Especially the linesman on the dressing room side, didn't put a foot wrong all night and was in good humour with the fans too.........................there was the handball by the Pats player in the box that was probably ball to hand but still I felt it should have been given!

All in all a performence that will kick-start our season!

totally agree r14 rams were well disciplined , sloppy goal cost us again, sucker punch, mulcahy , coleman and kearney were fantastic , mulcahy is a rela star in the makin, defo has to stay in team on that performance, kearney gets criticised (me included) but his versatility for team is fantastic, only place he hasnt played is goals, thought gaynor should have been given a little more time, we went 442 a little late , when we did change we had pats on back foot

thought the linesman on dressingroom side deserves credit, really had a good crack with supporters and was willing to talk not hide, hope he does more of our games , stonewall peno though in second half

on a different note, have to comment on dessie byrne what a scumbag, couldnt handle pressure and decides to gesture to crowd with his finger, no need for it hopefully lino say it and he gets done, no need for it in front of families
We control by attitudes positive mental attitudes not by rules.

Poor enough game and as Dodge said, good disciplined performance by Ramblers. If you show more performances like that you'll pick up points although there wasn't really much threat on out goal.

Good night in Cobh afterwards too. Got a b&b called Mountview just down from 'The Quarry ****' pub - grand spot.

i think hendos tactics were spot on for the game, we kept pats to very few chances, mulcahy kepth fahey quiet all night,
unfortunately we went a goal down, but hendo was on the ball and switched to a 4-4-2 formation and the last 20 mins we attacked pats, but pats defences was just as if not more solid than ours,
if this is whats to come i have no doubth in my mind we will survive, against a lesser team we would have won,
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

I hope they were martins tactics as Hendo was banned and could not communicate with the bench!!!
