The one time im late i miss the first goals, typical.Anyway thought we controlled it very well tonight, solid enough all round display.Maybe Leech was the only one to not have a good game.
We all know who we want to draw in semi,i wouldnt mind if it was away in Wexford but home would obviously be better. Is the semi final over 1 leg or 2??
Why cant we do this in the league

report here guys
when is the draw? great to get a win at home. heard there were very few at it again. pity - will the fickle galway crowd turn out for a semin in the league cup?

was at the UCD wexford game. wexford are a hard working hard tackling team - plenty of pace on the wings and upfront - have to say i was inmpressed
had a good following support in dublin last night
would not like an away draw against them tbh
i think though if we go out attacking thats their weakness
when ucd got the finger out with 20mins to go - they had 10 chances easy, just put the one away

There no more fickle then any other types of supporters, i think last year proved that with the high attendences but if it continues over onto the next season and get's worse then the adverage fan is'nt going to come, i would'nt expect anymore up there unless we string some LEAGUE wins together before the Seni's
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D
Theres people i know in work who are the stereotypical "how did Galway Utd get on last night" types.Well they were all saying this morning that they will definatly come to the semi final if its at home and they will go to the final too, these are the typical Galway "supporters" that we al find so frustrating.
I actually always ask them to come to the following home game and they always have some excuse etc but miraculously they will be available for the semi and final should we get there.
Doesnt matter, great feeling this morning going into work,i forgot what the feeling was like the day after a win.
everyone knows at least 10 people like that - i have neighbours that are huge GAA fans and proclaim no interest in soccer
but low and behold a sniff of glory in the promotion push in the match against dundalk - 4 of them were there decked out in maroon

These people just sound like sports people that will go to another sporting event when a local team is doing well. Same as the non GAA people who will go to the ALL-Ireland final or the non-rugby fans going to a big Connacht game. There are not the people that will ever come weekly as they already have a passion and a committment to another sport which should be admired not sneered at. The money they brought in that time was very useful.
The supporters you really need to try and get are those that don't really follow any particular team at the moment as regards live games
The players seemed to be confident with Banana Rouse in goals. He had liitle to do but what he had to do, he did well. Deegan had a great game and he caried Rusler who wasn't his usual self. Jayo relished the abuse he was getting from the Bray fans (who travelled in great numbers for a midweek game) and Derek O'Brien was outstanding and made sh!te out of their number 12 (was his name Ebony or Ivory or something like that?). Derek was effectively denied a hat trick as he had an earlier goal disallowed.
Strange to see Alan Gough in goals for Bray. The ex GUFC keeper retired 2 years ago but is currently playing for Bray, eventhough he lives in Galway. He had a good game despite letting in three. Derek was determined to take the peno; a guy in the stand said there is no love lost between Gough and Derek. Guess who has bragging rights now?
.
Nobody knows us, we don't care
Assumed he was a Wexford fan.
Anyway, didn't say how bad we were.![]()
