Boro just about shaded the first half,Pike missed a chance early in the game and Boro took theres to go in 2-0 at HT,the first was from a quick corner,the ball came back to Alan Sheehan who skipped past a couple of challenges and crossed for Tom McInerney to head home at the far post,his second came from a through ball,Stewie came out to close him down but Tom cheekily chipped him,second half was all Pike we couldn't get into it, Blackie ran the midfield,Jaffa missed a sitter right in front of goals and Pike wasted a few other chances,Pike went with 3 up front so we had no choice but to give a baptism of fire to our latest signing,a young lad called Daithi O'Donoghuewho came on to steady the ship,Tom should of completed his hat trick on 2 occasions but poor finishing and a post prevented him,we broke late in the came and Adrian Healys cross sailed over Stewies head and into the net,that killed the game then
