We were very poor in the first half, again shipping two soft goals. This is becoming an unhappy knack with us. Giving opposition a head start, but take nothing away from Knockainey, they started stronger and deserved their lead. In the second half we were twice the team that started. We dominated the whole second half, scoring one and missing a penalty aswell.
All games are cancelled tonight lads.
EVERYTHING is black and white
Thats just textbook................
This is keith o donnells 1st season back with caherdavin in years.Dont get me started on fahy.As far as i see caherdavin were terrible last year because most of their good players left and they had no direction.Corky said he'd sort it and ****ed off.Karl Meehan's back because he doesn't want to see the club go under i suppose. How are caherdavin supposed to attract players when their pitch is atrocious and facilities are as bad.Until they get these sorted it'll always be the same caherdavin players going back trying to help out their club.
Who told you that?He was there about 3/4 weeks before the league started and thought no-one would be training elsewhere.there wouldn't have been a caherdavin team if paul neville hadn't stepped in.He got sent off about 2-3 times in the opening games and he was meant to be manager.
ok mr "on the ball" you're gettin fairly heated on the ole caherdavin debate! athlunkard beat caherdavin in pre-season this year. i'm tellin ya they'll struggle in 1B unless they sign some players. just because they were in 1A for so long doesn't mean that much, they've never been premier, never even got close. even herbertstown made it!!! they'll probably survive this season with players like fudge carryin the team. and if you look closely (more closely than you have), then you will see there are players from caherdavin playing for wembley, athlunkard, shels, coonagh, corbally and many more. they don't even have any minor teams and they haven't had a b team in 5 or 6 years until this season. i think that's a bit of a slide
They were 3-1 up on wembley 2 years ago and fair enough, threw it away themselves.Wembley went up that year,if caherdavin had won i guarantee they wouldve gone premier.Caherdavin beat shannon and summerville in pre-season friendlies,1 being just relegated from premier so you cant talk about friendlies.what im sayin is,theres so many very good caherdavin players playin elsewhere or not playin that maybe its the terrible facilities and pitches that is drivin players away.Maybe if they change these you'd see a change.Rant over
ya im remembered that game a few years back.. jesus ye were about ten mins from nearly gettin promoted.i just think fitness always caught ye out.
ye still have great players out there, karl, judgey, and glen woodland are all excellent players, always very hard to beat and they'l have a good season.
Caherdavin were never in the title chase that year lads. Summerville topped the division thanks to a string of consistant 4-0 wins week after week for most of the season. Wembley promoted from 2nd place. Bruff and Shannon Town finished up level points third & 4th, but well out of reach of the other two (their last two fixtures were never even played cos the season was effectively over with promotion/relagation places decided). Trust me, I remeber it well because it Bruff's best season ever![]()

and ye seem to forget that last season caherdavin finished with 3 points from 22 games. this season that wont happen because they have a go0d manager but in saying that, this division will be very hard to get out of. it'll take caherdavin 3 or 4 years to get back to where they were a few years ago attempting promotion to the premier. i would love to see them do well as im from caherdavin myself and played 12 years with them. for the size of caherdavin and the amount of good players there, they should be a premier team and have a b and a c team, but you ask anyone in caherdavin why they left and they'll all tell you the same thing, the club is run by a bunch of idiots who treat the players like dirt.
actually glen woodland is a perfect example of what i was saying, correct me if i'm wrong but i think he only played one season? and then left coz he got sick of the politics bullshi*t that's in caherdavin. fine player. there are players playing for caherdavin this season who wouldn't get on most 2A sides and that's no exaggeration
keith o donnell broke his leg very badly and was told he'd never play soccer again. i'd say that's who you're thinkin of
I think we will have to rename this thread Caherdavin celtic .................
