wasnt talking bout theleagues i was talking bout some players. just cause u play or played premier football doesnt make u better than someone stayin loyal to a lower division club. 3 or 4 years ago tony fahy was playin wit distillery in 4b and alan barry the same wit abbey in 2b 5or 6 years ago.some premier players think there big shots when there only ordinary
ya some players think they're brilliant coz they play premier. that's whats great about the fai. the so called "smaller" clubs get to show what they can do and more often than not a few upsets happen. i played premier 3 years ago and a 2A side played us off the pitch in the fai and beat us. i even think the word "premier" is wrong. it should just start at 1A, none of this premier sh*ite
Lol...you must have played for a crap Premier team. Over a full season a 1B team would finish bottom of the Premier. No doubt. Just look at the two teams that went up from 1A last season.
Sure every season theres an upset or two in the FAI or MFA but no team in 1A or 1B would survive over a full season. A one off match is exactly that. Once off. Its a cup final for lower division teams and they have nothing to lose.
18 times, and that's a fact.
What doesnt add up is why they would bring a manager in, pay him and then get rid of him for a player who probably hasnt any experience looking after a team.
If this is true then Park have made a huge mistake. Surely they would have been better off with Finnan in charge and Dave Wall playing? Unless the players there didnt want him of course.

i follow junior soccer in limerick a lot and i've refereed a few matches in all divisions. ok over a full season u need dedication and good organisation, but that all comes with experience at playing at the top level. i saw athlunkard v hospital in 2A this morning, excellent game, both teams played great stuff. on their day they'd be a match for most premier teams but ok i accept that over a full season in premier they might struggle
Any results to todays matches lads? Knockainey won 2 1 against Pike B tough game Pike were up for the game in the second half and gave a good account of themselves in that half.
I see abit what you're saying but it is very early.ive seen games in every division we've mentioned and some teams at the start of the league look great and knock it around great and people are saying after 6-7games,this team is away with the league and then fall away. Its junior soccer, not the premiership, its more about hard work and dedication as you said, with a few good players thrown in.If the best player in town isnt interested in a game he should be out.
what we do without soccer though, especially in limerick! great debates and a good standard in fairness. refs could be a bit better but that'll never change. what annoys me though is the big-headedness of some premier players. honestly i can't see how certain players even play in the premier. lot of teams are carryin players
Park are going to be lucky to stay up this season
Davy is a good player but can he do both I dont
think so.Park has too many young small players.
I heard dukes signed till january .They need to get Eddy Dunne back
and get lockers fulley fit if they want to stay
up this season.
i would agree that park will struggle. i reckon caherdavin will be in around the bottom 4, very poor defense. shels look poor also. cals could be the surprise team in this division
only 4/5 games into season..... alot to play for. 1b and 2a will be very tight.
park have 3 or 4 excellent players but don't seem to be up for it. excellent facilities and set-up out there though. some of the limerick teams would love those facilities. need to start gettin a few wins though. 5 games in now
