dead right its about commitment. most 1b 2a teams have cracking players who can make the step up.... the prob is theres always a few players in the team who go missing sunday morning. you need players who you know will show up week in week out........ abbey had 10 players this morning and its september. how many will show up in the winter months ????

they have alot more than that.but look wait and see. they are probably the youngest team in this division and will challenge for this league this year.
There's no such thing as luck. Victories for the underdog are an aberration on the order of the universe - which is why I've had damn few loses in my time

Park are an excellent proper footballing side. always want to pass the ball not lump it long like some other teams,

there not as physical as other teams and that been costing them but early days yet and most people still think they will be in shake up at the end

well said there`s nothin premier about football in limerick anyway long balls to big center forwards.

    Knockainey v Pike today

Hey Pike B, was that you taking the penalty today, second half, a mile wide of the upright?

Knock were missing 5 from their 1st 11 and should be at full strenght from now on. Looks like Boro & Knock to battle it out for the title. Still sticking to my prediction of Knock for 1st spot come seasons end.

I reckon they'll b ok,few young fella's but why are all their good players playing with different teams.Maybe the fact they play on a cabbage patch, have no facilities and people on their committee have been there ages and they've never played premier yet produced some excellent players.Need better trainers and new committee.

    Groundhog season for da X!

Seems like the last 4 or 5 seasons have been 'groundhog season' for the X - each involving a relegation dogfight to the end. looks like same story this time. Still, keeps the fans on the edge of their seats to the last game or two. Who wants a boring mid table position!

don`t disagree at all comment wasn`t a dig at any player but at the people runnin the club they didn`t have a manager last year till 1 week before season started and no forms signed either. can`t expect good players to put up with that.

No I didn't take the pen. I was up front, number 10. Had a quiet game unfortunatley, just feeding off scraps but managed to get our goal. We were very poor in the first half, again shipping two soft goals. This is becoming an unhappy knack with us. Giving opposition a head start, but take nothing away from Knockainey, they started stronger and deserved their lead. In the second half we were twice the team that started. We dominated the whole second half, scoring one and missing a penalty aswell. We're not playing badly, but we really have to start taking our chances or it could be a struggle again this season, but after only 4 games nobody is panicking yet...
