Lower division teams can beat higher opposition in the cups, thats football, but thats not saying that they could put it in week in week out against higher opposition.

totally agree,we (balla b)played regional earlier this year when they were top of the prem,they beat us 3-1 scoring there third goal with the last kick of the game,it was a good contest but if you take the arguments and the points people are makin based on one off cup games then we should be no where near the foot of 1A but how you play week in week out in your own league is how your team should be based,The season before last when dromore and kilamllock got promoted was not the norm,Kilmallock were a super side imo and i am surprised to see them struggle,dromore were not so good but played to there strenghts(long balls to there big players and a strong physical team)as they are doin this year and could stay in the premier,as was said the standard in 1a is bad,but if you are basing things on the last few years the prmier standard has dropped bar 1 or 2 teams as has the standard in every other division

Geraldines 4-0 Shannon Town...superb result and giant step towards the finishing line...1 up at half time flattered us. Shannon were the better team in the first half...think we were very good in the second half creating chances and converting. Although saying that our goalkeeper was man of the match. 3 or 4 super saves...our second goal at the start of the second half was worthy of winning any game. Don't think shannon can argue that we didn't deserve to win. Just the margin maybe

I think if Shannon and Star draw next Tuesday evening both teams will be out of the running for promotion for certain.

The Dines require a maxmimum of 4 wins from 5 games to be promoted now.

we can afford a slip up alright but we still have mungret, croom, balla herbertstown and charleville...plenty still to play for. Two big games for shannon next week now, star aswell...we're delighted with tonight though obviously

Two tough games mid-week as well shannonman, could really catch up with ye...what do you think about the game last friday? A lot closer than the scoreline suggests

Ya but at two down we started chasing the game which left us open. yer second goal was from the top drawer but apart from that we handed ye goals.

Game played in gale force winds...that said both teams tried to play ball and we probably pipped the first half with star taking the second. Happy to get the win and it keeps the pressure on Geraldines

agree with u shannon man complete joke what fixture sec is doing to ye. same for park rangers aswell. they have had an awful no. of games the past few weeks and they are pushing for promotion too. do u think ldmc just dont want the shannon clubs doing well cause ye are not from town.

i was talking about the shannon teams for such a back log of fixtures but its fair bad to here that its happening to soom city teams too. is there any thing that can be done for next seson. i know weather had a huge facto this year but the likes of a back log of 4 games one week and such a contrast of having a cup game only the following week
