you are only a loser when you stop trying. Playing sport does not build character, it reveals it.
Dines are playing in the cup final this thursday night
Im not saying ye cant...but one of yer players came on here last week and stated that ye would be trying yer best to win the game...clearly that didn't happen if ye put out a "weakened" team...anyway look bottom line is we are where we are because we dropped stupid points over the season...we cant rely on anyone to win for us..we just have to win and hope Balla can do the same...
And as for your second statement...get a grip will you...the right way to play??? what is that exactly? surley the right way to play is playing the way you win?? you always play to your strengths simple as that...most of our team is over six foot so why wouldn't we bombard teams.
My Goal Is To Deny Yours...
Thought Croom and Balla played twice already? Why is this fixture outstanding?
to be honest if every team do not put our their best it is not fair on the rest of the league. try a bit of role reversal. All shannonman is asking is for the league to be 100% fair with everybody trying to win everygame.
If it was against a lower team that meant nothing then fine, but as promotion is at stake they should be respectful and play their full side.....
as said if the shoe was on the other foot i am sure mungreta nd the dines would nt be happy with shannon town
in relation to the route 1, surely you must not have enjoyed italia 90 so..![]()

so then why not play the 2 games on sunday or tuesday 9th
seems a strange decision when both teams have 1 game left and are both in running for promotion![]()

So you're saying mungret didn't try? Or weren't fair to shannon...gimme a break. Do you think shannon got the games they would of got at the start of the season off charleville and herbertstown recently? Not a hope. It happens all the time to all teams. The season isn't even over yet and the excuses and sour grapes are out. It's not done yet, we still have to beat balla.
there is no sour grapes. mungret did not play their full team due to resting players (admitted previously). if shannon town don't go up it is not over one game it is over the season.
it still does not excuse teams taking breaks when other teams have something to play for. but it is something in football that will never change.

Normally I don't think teams should rest players when there is a promotion race going on between other clubs, but i think the fact that we have 2 cup finals in 4 days allows for an exception to this rule, especially with the temperature conditions of tuesday evening. Every single club would have done the same thing.
It could also affect the bottom of the table,
Lets say Charleville were to beat Shannon tomorrow night, then that would mean that The Dines are automatically promoted, and thus playing a weakend team v Balla "B" in their last game (which would suit Balla)..........................Both final games for each team should be played at the same time on the same day, end of........
while i see your point it is still not a good thing to have happen......i am sure if ye were still going for the league ye would have had no problem fielding full strength teams for the league and the 2 cup finals....
but this is all done and over. best of luck for the premier next year....and in the cup final thursday...![]()
