Lads
Can players or members from each club post their results asap after each game on this website.
This will enable me to keep an updated table, incase the table on the new Limerick soccer website is too slow.
I have bud, but I just cant see ye getting anything away to Mungret, and Prospect are a good side, so that game could go either way,
I hope ye do beat Prospect, but I fancy a draw.
Who did ye sign for the new season? who did ye lose? (other than the below)
In: Barry Mc
Out: Ger Barron, Darren Walsh, Lou Quigley

There's no such thing as luck. Victories for the underdog are an aberration on the order of the universe - which is why I've had damn few loses in my time

Your gas Carey,
If you were still with Star you'd have 2 wins down for us, just because you have a gripe with the club coz you couldn't get your place now all of a sudden you have us down for no wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You could be right though!!!!! So we'll have to wait and see.
[quote=abbeyvale;1003947]no need to be getting sour alan i picked it like that because ye a new manager and sometimes it can take time to gell see most of you real star players might need time to get to know wendys ways if it were another club you would too due to the fact that yer preseason games have not gone well. still think star will challenge for the league but might get off to a slow start, as for your other comment not all players kiss ass to get themselves in a team, and with comments like that you wonder why players keep leaving star, as for my predictions least they are honest

[QUOTE=starman;1003964]Not getting sour bud, just cant see how you could change your opinion so fast.
We have the same starting eleven that we had last season (with the exception of Pa Barry), so not many first team players have left.
We have signed a few to cover that.
Our pre-season hasn't gone well as regards friendlies but we are training hard, so we'll just have to wait and see how things go.
I also agree with you and think we will be at least in the top 3/4 this season.
If you regard training and putting in an effort to turn up for every game as "kissing ass" then maybe you were better off leaving (but one thing's for sure Mr.Finnan wont pick players unless they train), so best of luck and you never know we might even MEET in one of the cups this season, so look forward to playing against you (IF you turn up and IF your picked).
Oh and by the way your words Beamish and Guinness are missing something!!!!

well best of luck with that, all of last years team they do show up training all the time oh and to every match and soberif that was the case alan ye'd be still premier.
and my opinion didnt change alan its still the same star have always been a confidence team IF they get off to a good start they will push for one the two spots if not ye will have to do something ye never done (WORK FOR IT) and with wendy ye will

I cannot control what way players turn up to games (or even if they do turn up at all), if a player wants to turn up he will, if he doesn't then theres not much that can be done, and then you just have to pick the best from what you do have.
No matter waht way you look at it, we will have to work hard to get promotion either way, and yes Wnedy will insist on the hard work (you can see that in training already).
As regards staying up last year, we were relegated because we deserved to be, simple as that...............at the end of the day we were not good enough for a number of reasons (reason's which I could be here all day listing).............so lets move on.
We will be one of the favourites to get promoted, and we have to ensure that we are still in with a shout of promotion come the end of February/early March, and if we are, then we'll be happy with that.
Our target this season is to push for promotion, get to the final of the divisional cup (and obviously try and win it), and do well in all other cups (ie; out of town in FAI/MJC, and latter stages of the Lawson)....................If that can be done, then we would be happy with our season's work.
