    There was talk that Ireland might try and get the olympic team idea going again.
    This could be represented by LOI players who could represent their country with pride.

    IF they have a relative level of success the players get some well deserved recognitionand the shake-a-shamrocks get to see some new players in action thus relieving them of their obvious ignorance so prevalent on this thread.

    Why would someone from the eL neccecarily have more pride in playing for their country than someone playing abroad? I dont really agree with that assertion at all

    This would seem to be a good idea, however only the semi finalists from the Euro u21 Champs qualify for the olympics, something we have never achieved, and to do so one would imagine we would need players playing in the top leagues.
    Help something bit me!!!
