Sure I remember everytime we go to theX there are 100,000 passionate Corkonians!
Fickle comes to mind not fans
I seem to remember a four-nil trashing not so long ago with less than 500 in the ground
As for fans, we have an average attendance just below that of Cork and were from a city(not town) that has five premier division clubs
Irish by birth, dub by the grace of god
I agree with you, we Cork City fans are traditionally a fickle lot, but, I think things are changing. Cork City is still a relatively young club(est.1984) in League of Ireland terms. They have flirted with liquidation in the not so distant past. But the club is making big strides since Lennox took over to make the club important to the City.
I agree there has been a bit too much clapping our own backs recently and its kind of corny. I also get embarassed when I hear that clown at half time asking questions to George O'Callaghan like "Whats it like to play in front of this crowd every week?" What the hell is he supposed to say!
What that saying? SELF PRAISE, IS NO PRAISE
