i've said as much on another thread but i don't see why city couldn't have played the game on the saturday night, i don't think it would have greatly affected our attendance.

i think the agreements we've had with derry, longford and drogs in the past have been good for all concerned, and i think we should have seen out the season as we started it, honouring these agreements.

having said that, anyone who suggests that driving down on friday compared to driving down on saturday would have affected the results is being silly.

there's already been too much rubbish with fixture changes this year, hopefully this is the last of it.

I don't think it has been mentioned yet, and I'm not making excuses, but Saturday = Slane. If Drogs thought that traffic was bad around the pale on Friday, Saturday must have been like New York City after a power cut. Add to that the crowd at Turners Cross would have been 1000 less probably.

Good business dosen't equal Good sportsmanship.

Why can't we all just get along.

At this point I'd just like to suggest to any Drogs fans, if they can, to check exactly what sort of 'agreement' the two clubs had/have

Exactly Joe, it's just a pity that some people can't understand this.

No doubt it's written on a beer mat and in the inside pocket of Harry McCue's Saturday suit jacket. He doens't get to wear the suit much so he's not quite sure what the agreement was about

Well Conor74 - ill have you know that the drogs made a bigger deal out of this at least a week and a half/ 2 weeks before the match - not just after our 4 nil trashing.

Its not sour grapes - no matter what they the match was on we wouldve got trashed. Travelling down on the saturday wouldnt have made any difference to the outcome of the match.

Cork shafted us - because despite what is said here, I know for a fact that there was an agreement between the 2 clubs - i dont think anybody has denied this, not even cork officials - so going along that line like, 'show us the agreement' is just pathetic.

This argument is getting boring now, so i reckon its time to leave.
Ill see ye all down at the cross at the end of the season - hopefully we wont require the points to stay up!!!

    Good Luck

as i said above i suggest you check what exactly was in the 'agreement' because from what i've heard the comments above about it were well wide of the mark, ie signed agreement for all cork v drogheda matches

Can Sellafield really be to blame for the mental state of Louth folk?

Iceman the Ireland U21 game is on in the RSC on the night you were due to play Waterford, what were you lot going to do if you didn't agree to the switch?
Turn up and demand a game?
Can't wait to hear the excuses when Waterford beat you 5-1.

Very intelligent Peadar, except the Drog-Waterford game is on in Drogheda!!!

And very intelligent sheep remarks too, wish I had your level of intelligence and humour.

Peadar, saying that there was no agreement is a lie - there was an agreement - cork havent denied this.

F**k it, this is getting really boring now.
