this will worry blockbookers and i suspect will mean you may have to purchase expensive travel packages to get tickets....
"Fifa will also not be giving tickets to the football associations of participating countries to sell and distribute.
That responsibility will now go to MATCH, an organisation in Manchester which runs Fifa's hospitality and accommodation programmes and will now sell and distribute tickets."

FIFA according to their website are to make 12% of match tickets available to the competing countries up from 8%. It is my understanding that these tickets would be distributed by the FAI if Ireland qualify as was the case in 2002. Tickets will also be sold online in various tranches and that the Corporate tickets will be distributed by MATCH.

12% for the competing teams is good. It does come out of the fans internet allocation but fair enough.
However they also allocated 350,000 tickets to Travel agents. They'll probably use the same ones that fleeced fans in 94 and 98. After the 98 fiasco with Japanese paying thousands to official travel agents and not getting tickets FIFA took away tickets from them and sold them to fans on the internet.
