Laptop advice - is this a good machine?

My laptop at the moment is pretty poor its an Advent, 1 gb ram 120gbHD etc its ok does all the basics fine but get put under pressure fairly easily the wireless connection drops if my down load gets above a few hundred kb/s or if i turn on the PS3 the LAN connecter is broken and the battery doesnt charge anymore.

Saw this one but i know very little about specs etc can anyone that does understand laptops tell me if this one is any good . Its only available untill 11 tonight so i need to choose fairly quickly, should i get this or wait for a Sony Viao to come around again? Or could i get an even better one somewhere else.

This is 550 euro and delivery is 15 so its fairly cheap

    Cheers

Looks like a good deal to me. I haven't bought a laptop for a few years though, so someone else may know better.

Looks pretty good to me. ThinkPads tend to be bullet proof as well so they last a fair while as well.

Good price for the brand, beats the 800 I paid a month ago for a similar spec HP laptop.

i was thinking it was good for the money considering old one cost 650 a year ago. And i should have a buyer for that old one too for 250-300 ( he knows even less than me about laptops). But in fairness to it its never given much trouble bar when i stood on it drunk and broke off the dvd drive and broke the LAN connector
