The thread for Drogs was moved last year, iirc.
Why was this thread moved?
You'd think a thread congratulating with the League of Ireland Premier Division champions would belong in the Premier division forum. Now that forum contains no mention of the fact that the league was won last night. Ridiculous!![]()

All of this has happened before. All of it will happen again.

Lads, if people hadn't been making such of a big deal about the Shels Champions thread then all these threads would stay there. They are all going to be moved for now on simply because foot.ie doesn't have the resources to be dealing with the backlash.
I completely agree, its unbelievable actually that they cant stay there, give the nature and sentiment of the thread. Team/Clubs work damn hard to win a league given the sustained effort thats needed to do so, its a shame they cant have a thread to acknowledge that.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
What do people think? Should i move this thread to the main league forum?
We could move it for a week and if there is no abuse then we can leave it there (unless the abuse becomes unmanageable, it would have to be moved straight away then)

I think you should definitely move it to the main forum.
To say that you can't manage abuse in a single thread with a simple purpose is rather admitting defeat: you have a delete button and a ban button, and you should use them for any post expressing other than congratulatory sentiments, which is what the thread is for.
Do it methodically. Put bitter, bitter Derry nonces at the top of your list, and work down.
This isn't about Bohs. It's about the Champions.
Not only was it ridiculous tht it was moved, its ridiculous that no team since Cork has had a congratulatory pop up message

The thread should just be moved back without any more delay.
The excuse used for moving it in the first place is as lame as they come if you don't mind me saying, and is pretty succinctly countered by BohDiddley above.
Then asking should it be moved back in a forum that hardly anyone visits is hardly going to get the imprimatur you're looking for.
A bit of common sense is required here. Shamrock Rovers season tickets is one thing, but a 'congrats to the League Champions' thread should never have been moved from the main forum in the first place.

Dodge, i moved it to avoid the stuff that was going on in that thread (people giving out) but after that when Shels won it. My inbox was full at the time over that. I just dont have the time to be dealing with that again.
I'll move it back to the main forum but if it sparks off then i'm move it back.
