Apparently the CEO, a qualified chartered accountant who used to work with Deloittes, didn't have the accounts done on time. I heard some of the old board members had to come back in and help him get them done before the FAI threw a bigger fine and points deduction at the club.

I make the fining league table -

    Code:

    St Pat's Ath	16375
    Sligo Rovers 2225
    Cobh Ramblers 1550
    Cork City 1500
    Bohemians 880
    Monaghan United 715
    Shelbourne 650
    Drogheda United 600
    Athlone Town 525
    Bray Wanderers 500
    Derry City 450
    Limerick 37 450
    Shamrock Rovers 425
    Dundalk 400
    Sporting Fingal 400
    Galway United 350
    Waterford Utd 325
    Finn Harps 275
    UCD 125
    Kildare County 75
    Longford Town 50
    Wexford Youths 50
    E28,895 this season.
That figure is way under - every time you get a booking you get a fine of 25. Theres no way thats its just 50 or 75 at this stage of the season.

No you don't (or at least if you do, it's not on the weekly FAI lists, and every picky thing is on there). E25 a booking? Sure the smaller clubs would never survive that. It's for every four bookings you get fined.

the guy from carrick got nine months for running from bench with a spare boot and ****ting an everton player with the boot, 9 months and 50 quid really dont balance up though. 50 quid is a pittance for that sort of stupidity

as for rams we won fair play award last season so we thought we would see what it was like on other side of fence , flippin pats keep us from top of league again

WRONG. He went onto the pitch to confront the ref who was a complete disgrace, the ref then issued him a red card. While walking away from the pitch he lobbed the boot onto the field, which landed near no one. The ref put in his report then that it missed him by inches. I know this kind of carry on is not acceptable but the performance by the ref was shambolic to say the least. i wonder how long he was suspended for!!!

Pineapple Stu is sort of correct. The fines list he's given is a list of fines issued by the FAI Disciplinary Committee. While the Disciplinary Committee decide on suspensions and fines for red cards and every fourth yellow card, they don't issue fines for each yellow card, that's the job of the League itself and those amounts are automatic and pre-set amounts more or less as you've described above.

It's been that way for many years. €25 for each of the first four yellows, €40 for each of the next four, think it's then €50 for any above eight in a season. The fines are issued at the same time as the disciplinary meeting reports and clubs have two weeks to pay the fine. If it's not paid on time the player is automatically suspended according to the rules but I don't know if that's ever been applied.

For Under 21 games it was €15 for each of the first four and €25 thereafter. Presume its similar for the new A league and U20 setup this season.

    Edit:

Just checked the League Participation Agreement from last season:

    23 Cautionable Offences

23.2 In fixtures played in the FAI National League and FAI Senior Cup, each caution (yellow card) will attract one penalty point and a fine of €25 for the first four cautions. The fifth to eighth cautions will attract one penalty point and a fine of €40. The ninth and subsequent cautions will attract one penalty point and a fine of €50.

23.3 In fixtures played in the under 21-League and FAI Intermediate Cup, each caution (yellow card) will attract one penalty point and a fine of €15 for the first four cautions. The fifth to eighth cautions will attract one penalty point and a fine of €20. The ninth and subsequent cautions will attract one penalty point and a fine of €25.

Trouble with their fans, I was reading on the Cork forum (presumably posted from radio reports). Gardai had to get involved.

Edit - Drogheda forum suggests it was to do with flares being let off.

They let off about 7 flares and I think there may have been 1 smoke bomb. Some of them were thrown out by the Gardai.
