    ENOUGH!
Previously you say we need to move on together and now this. Is there no pleasing you? You have done great work for the club in the past don't ruin it all by being remembered as the guy who couldn't be pleased who spread rumour and conjecture and who moaned about the club at every opportunity. Put your passion for the club back where it belongs, into SUPPORTING the club.

I plead to everyone to put our differences to one side in order to support Jeff and those players proud to wear our jersey. NO more moaning and negativity. Let's get the results right on the field and then look at the rest.

Ive answered you on the other forum .Ive never stopped supporting the team and was in Cork last friday doing exactly that. As for the club (nick & friends) if they had left a forum in place where people could air their views and find out exactly what the f is going on there would be no need for any of the posts on here.

If you are willing to stand over whats happening at the moment and not question it then your some supporter.

I will also be working at the game on friday so i think you questioning my support is rich.

1.Tell the fans the truth about the current situation.
Last I heard from the club was that we weren't in major financial trouble. The main problem was getting below the wage cap, which the wage cut was supposed to solve. This was obviously a lie. If we were told the truth instead of the usual spin, the city and county might rally behind the club.
    2. Promote the games.
Promotion of games has been non existent. Mistakes were made in the pricing of tickets at the start of the season, goodwill should be shown to the thousands of fans deterred from attending games by the price increases.
    3. Representation for supporters at club level
GUST should be recognised by the club and given meaningful representation on the Board.
    4. Give the players a chance
It seems like every couple of days the club drops another bombshell, usually right before games or after positive results. We have not been able to build any momentum because of this.
    5. Fight to avoid relegation.
With our best players being offloaded we have no chance of avoiding relegation. Rebuilding the club would be a lot easier in The Premier Division. United fans need no reminder about how hard it can be to get out of the First Division without a good DVD.
    6. Cut out unneeded extra expenses
How many more "Jimmy Norman" type payments are going on. Could cheaper training facilities be found, cheaper away game transport? A cheaper brand of apres-match Pizza?

    7. Concentrate on increasing revenue streams.
    Sell some player sponsors ffs
    8. Get the Mayor to sort it out
An "At the Scene of the Crime" photo in The Advertiser featuring our new Mayor couldn't do any harm

Just wondering what would you best team be? I don't see how we can lose all these players without seriously affecting performances on the field.

do you honestly think replacing the following will make us stronger:
    Reggi - Conneelly
    Rogers - Geraghty
    McCulloch - McDonagh
    Deegan - Robson
    Charles - Sinnott
    Fitz - ammmmm???

We don't even have cover for all of these players ffs and in positions we do they are only young lads with very little (some none) senior experience. Hardly what you want for a relegation battle.

Maybe we have to lose these players to keep the club afloat but please don't insult us by saying we will be better off for it in any other way than financial.

Most of the players i mentioned will still be at the club once the transfer window closes as a lot me clubs are stuck for money and wont waste it on our player . The point im making is that the players at our disposal are all of similar quality and losing a few of them wont be the end me the world. From the limited knowledge that i have of the situation the only 2 that look like getting new clubs so far are deegan and mc culloch gg

you are wrong about them being similar quality. Perhaps some have potential but the others (those listed) are much further along in their development and/or far more experienced. We are definitely a weaker squad without them.

You insinuated earlier that we had better players available - not of similar standard like you back track to in this last post. Regardless of whether the players are here are not at the end of the month that first statement is totally untrue. If we were to lose the players listed in the earlier post, far from being just as strong, we would be much much weaker and far more likely to be relegated.

We have Ian foster and Jeff Kenna who are of better quality than those listed and if it means losing two or three of the above mentioned players to bring theses lads in then i am all for it. If the rumour of both Mc Culloch and Rogers dropping down to the first division are true it proves my point as neither of them have the quality required to play in the top division.

We have to many average players some of whom should not be playing full time football but we have tc to blame for that and we wont be any weaker by losing 2 or 3 of them. If we can get under the 65% cap and bring in jeff ian and Alan Murphy on a part time contract then well then i am happy to lose some of the average players that we currently have.

I said you have done great work for the club........that is NOT questioning your support. I hate to see someone as dedicated as you become so negative, that's all.

At no point anywhere did I say I was willing to stand over what's happening at the moment. I don't but rather than have a go at the club here I have made my feelings known directly to the CEO and board.

I am simply saying that all the negativity is not doing anyone any favours. I believe we all need to co-operate and move forward together even though that will not be easy but is there a better alternative?

Where does Jeff stand now? He's got only half a squad, cant see him staying next season? If stories are true we have no sub goalkeeper. Its like a sinking ship. It is obviously not just a simple case of sorting out the wage cap.

Full time football is not sustainable in Ireland nor is charging €20 into a game.

The board started off so very well and are to be commended for there professional approach but somewhere along the line its seems the wheels were loosened, with the loss of supporters input, now it seems the wheels are falling off.

It appears the club are preparing for first division football. It will be a semi pro set up and there will be no room for a CEO.

say they realize the dream is over. Risks were took cant really fault the board on that and there is no choice but to cut the cloth. Its time to reduce prices as well and recognise the new circumstances Ireland Inc is facing including LOI footie. The appointment of TC was truly disastrous. An oderly wind down into semi professional football is the best option and seems to be the new strategy. We will know tomorrow i hope. Small crumbs but its better than the nuclear option

Fair play to you if you can find the board seeing as bar Nick all the rest of the decision makers are out of the country.

    i meant

to add ths crisis is a lot more than a 65% wage cap issue, anyone who knows anything about football knows you cant lose 8 players, bad and all as they are, and not be affected. Practically a full new team is required for friday. We the supporters do deserve a better explanation tomorrow. Just honesty thats all
