I reckon Connolly is worth his place in the team - he does at least drop deep to win the ball very often, and has some nice touches and vision at times. Unfortunately, he's not the biggest or strongest of players, which seems to be letting him down at the moment.

West Ham for him is a step up from Wimbledon - they have crowds for a start! - and there's a good chance he'll be playing Premiership football next season. He doesn't seem to be playing all that well for Ireland at the moment, but I think he's a better bet than throwing in someone completely inexperienced at this level at such a crucial stage in the qualifiers.
