The Herald (I know, I've burnt it now) claimed that the sixth foot has been dismissed as a hoax. Someone shoved an animal foot into a shoe. The 'article' claimed that this was poor form as people with missing relatives in the area were waiting on news. I don't know whether that's wild speculation from the 'reporter' or based on how the local police are thinking.
