Was at the game tonight, I'm glad you were able to play at Richmond Park and the ramped publicity was rewarded by the result. Coming back after being behind twice is impressive. Well Done.

I guessed you missed the comment about Pats being 15 years behind Swedish football by one of their scouts then?

Swedish teams fans are notoriuosly arrogant when playing Irish team. Look at Djurgarden and Gotenbergs captains comments before both legs.

In the 1st round teams earn club as well as national ranking points. Even a draw would give Pats 1 point of their own to add the national average. Very valuable for seeded as Shels & Derry City have seen.

Do Pats want big draw or smaller beatable team? I would got for biggest draw as even the smaller as all very difficult. Milan are the biggest team but this is Ireland so English sides mean TV money & exposure.

Methinks, always the easier the draw, the better.

When the draw was made, Elfsborg made it known they were already making arrangments for nest round before a ball was kicked against St Pat's.

Their keeper said in interview it was best draw for them as St Pat's have no big players and irish clubs are bad in Europe.

When they were 2-0 up in Sweden you could see their arrogance in the showboating

Numerous fans were banned from our forum as they henestly thought it was tie over and they'd easily beat us. Laughing at Richer and the fact they'd never heard of our players, and their players were stars. Saying we didn't stand a chance against their ex swedish internationals and not one pats player would be good enough for their reserves.

    Thats arrogance to me

Why don't you make an effort to supply these notorious comments?
Please also to provide quotes from Hammarby (FF?) from your tie last year. Does this count because the result went against the Irish club?

Just back from the game. As a neutral Eircom league supporter, I have to say this was probably the best game I've been to so far in terms of European nights and I've been to a good few (not the Hadjuk Split one tho!). The last 15 minutes were absolutely fantastic.

When Pats Equalised and then scored their second it was like Ireland winning against a big team in the World Cup Qualifiers - fantastic atmosphere. Can't wait for the next round now!

I hope they get the easiest possible draw they can get. And if not a big glamour tie like AC Milan

Great night for the league. Up to 30th in the co-efficient so our champion will be seeded next year definitely!

I really, really hope we don't get an English team. Nothing against TV money, or exposure, but I couldn't bear to see all those idiots in their Aston Villa/Man City/Spurs shirts turn up to cheer against an Irish team. I'd go for the beatable option to be honest. Superb night tonight btw, I've never heard anything like the noise in the stand as Quigo rounded the keeper to score the second. Fan-effing-tastic. The team were immense, and we didn't deserve to be a goal down. Heroic stuff.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

That doesn't sound arrogant to me.

Planning in the short-term, IF Elfsborg was given as the best draw St. Pat's could have played because of their (IFE) football standing. Same, same. You need to continue to develop your thick skin if a stepover insults you when you are two-nil down.
The word 'arrogance' was used to describe them on the day of the draw. It is clear is was chosen early by St.Pat's fans, to drop it, may be a sign of error.

No offense but I dont plan on trawling through press releases from years back because you choose not to believe what people on here are saying. I know it's true.

Before the first leg in Swededn the Gothenberg captainsaid that their trip to Derry would be a holiday after the first leg.
before the second he claimed the home leg was a blip and they were guaranteed to go true.

The Djurgarden captain after the first leg said that there was no doubt that they would qualify and that the home game was a fluke.

Im sure if you're that bothered you can find the quotes. All Derry city fans and Cork City fans on here know them to be true.

The Hammarby captain didnt make any stupid comments. They went about their job professionally and got a result. Hence me not mentioning them.

And if they had made comments like the above at least they would have been right. unlike the others.

Their fans on the other hand made plenty of comments like above. And because of our disgraceful performance they were proven right. being right doesnt mean you're not arrogant though

You realise Ptas were actuall;y the seond worse team(after us) than Elfsborg could have drawn going by the co-efficient?

If you dont think saying you were planning for the next round as you were sure to be there(when they clearly werent) is arrogance i wonder if you actually understand what the word means

So when Pats play UCD, and the Pats fans and players pretty much say publicaly we just have to turn up, this is an easy tie, bring on the next game. You don't think thats arrogant??

    Yes? your point?

If you'd like to point out any arrogant post of mine on the forum I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

Or are you simply avoiding the points actually made?
