yeah, it's hard to know. But, I think Mick has made the right decision again. Quinn is not 100% fit and would be more effective off the bench late in the game if we need him.

Fair play to McCarthy for taking us this far with some of the passengers that he has had to work with. If he just had the luck of Jack Charlton... Thank God that pr!ck is gone though.

    **** off Clinton Morrison.

    Question

Surely Finnan should be in there ahead of Macca?

I was at Holland - Ireland in Amsterdam, I was shocked that Mick decided to play McAteer. He then went on to get an assist and a goal.

I should have known better this time around!

    Thumbs up Louis Van Gaal...

....said before the game that most Irish people preferred Holland to their own team.Don't know where he got that from, personally I've always admired their attractive football but when they're up against us there's only one team I want to win...and it's certainly not the dutch!! Then, after we came back from that torrid opening quarter,he seemed to get rattled.Did he expect us to roll over and let his team win???? I also believe he "apologised" to the Irish team for knocking us out of the World cup before the match even started!! Methinks this guy badly needs a dose of reality.I am not a great fan of Mick McCarthy but he got it right when he said talk is cheap and refusd to respond to Van Gaal's jibes.

Van Gaal, dug his own grave by apolosing to us for knocking us out day before the day. As for the excuses about the pitch..pathetic. Well done lads! Question though, i remember McCarthy making the comment about showing his arse in Burton's window if McAteer doesnt get a club. He said taht a few years ago when he was with Millwall, what was the reason does anyone know?

I dont know, but if McCarthy comes out to the bench during the play off in a trench coat, i'd be worried.
