You must have been left off the list by accident. Letters were sent out three weeks ago as far as I know. Basically what's up on the website is what happened anyhow.
Glad to see there was a meeting last night according to the website, shame as a member I never got a letter. Anyone else not get one?

It is a conspiracy I tells ya! It is good to see how much of the debt has been cleared. hopefully we can achieve the figure of 200 people involved in the trust and help even further to remove the debt and get the club back to a good financial state and then take it from there.

They allowed that well known troublemaker Mr. M. Stapleton to attend so it wasn't a very successful conspiracy!. Everyone came away optimistic I think. If everybody could get one more person it'd be a massive help.

It's how they do things in Europe, consult the leader of the Ultras and get his approval.

these were the figures given at the agm last nite...
statement of receipts and expenditure for the period august 2006 to 30th may 2008
members contributions 51600
less:
admin cost 378
bank charges 416
funds paid out 40060
RETAINED FUNDS 10747
at start of period there were 33 creditors now theres 25 left.. 5 of them were very browned off with the club but because of the supporters trust they accepted different payments on account..
a very interestin question was raised re roddy collins..if rodster and 200 of his cronies bought a share each they all become members of the club technically speakin they could sack the present management but ltfc said that at its next agm they tighten up the loophole.. But they cant own the ground as there are two separate companies one for the soccer club and for the ground..
the proof is in the pudding I would safely expect a lot more people to sign up for the trust now.. and I am a great troublemaker
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
It's also worth pointing out, as was mentioned in the piece on the site, that the total debt has been reduced by over 100k in that period between the club and the Trust. It shows the club has in the last year or so adopted a more prudent and realistic approach towards its operations. This had to be done no matter the price we pay on the field. It's about 14 months since the numbers in the Trust started to be relatively significant. I'd love to see a situation where the debt was dealt with and the money was going towards ground development or youth development. Hopefully that day won't be too far away.
