i think erecting a statue would not be something he would have wanted although a fitting tribute. he was never involved in the club for recognition,although such recognition is deserved. i think renaming the stand is a great idea
What about good sized wooden plague with his quote carved into it. this could be put on the gate.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
