Barry and nabs gave the limerick defence a torrid time. Barry got 1 from the spot, nabs got 2, and purcell 1.
that could possibly be the best strike force in the country if they both sign

Sorry now but i disagree!Unless Nabs is back to the player he was a few years ago then maybe but it would be hard to back away from an Alan Barry and Pat Moloney partnership.Whatever negativity is said about Pat Moloney there is no doubting his ability and has been a league winner for the last 3 years. As stated already,Alan Barry will be a massive loss for the 'Boro'.

Wasnt that Abbeys strike force a few years back?

They have fallen a bit since then.

It would be a really strong front 2 for Pike If both were to sign.

Well they seemed to click for the 'boro' as they helped them to the league
    in 06/07.

Oh ya forgot they played together at the Boro when they won the league.

Pity Boro couldn't keep both of them.

they got alot of goals for the boro that season also.will be interesting to see how young clarke does for the boro this season.i reckon he would make a great partnership with alan barry.i could see them getting a bag of goals if they played together.id take clarke ahead of moloney anyday.better all round player.

Anyone agree Fairview have a very strong squad so far this season. Great signings in Heffernen etc..
tje view have put a great squad together on PAPER ,how many players have actually come back from eircom league and really made a difference to teams, keith harnett is 1and maybe brendan hughes for me the jury is still out on the rest of them

Colm Heffernan will be super-probably be the best player in town - all the players that came back played with limerick, this guy held his own in Division 1 league of Ireland, big difference there.I do however echoe your sentiments on the Ex league of Ireland players, they never seem to make a massive impact when they come back, maybe due to lack of hunger and on this aspect i would as a Fairview man be slightly worried that there will be quite a few Ex league of Ireland players in the team.

Ya agreed. Maybe after playing at that level it might be hard to play and motivate yourself etc... But with a midfield of Rossi and Heffernen and Kelleher upfront I think they have the best squad in town for the upcoming season but class will always shine through. Heffernen is def still League of Ireland standard. He did well with Athlone last season. Was hoping he would sign back with Limerick. He prob has bad memories of the last time

rumours have it that Kilmallock were saying over the weekend , that they were going to win the league next year after drawing with pike...

would agree with you there.had a big reputation when he left limerick fc.was actually one of there more consistant players when there. has been lacking in fitness though since he went back to junior football and seems to be very in and out of the fairview set up when there.always seems to be missing every 2nd or 3rd game.never saw him starting consistently over a season
