Absolute joke that the Town used an operator who wasn't a member of the tour operators regulator and a none licenced travel agent. That is a disgrace.
Any word anybody about the big inquest Wed night ?
Great letter Wed in Longford Leader, agree with him

What exactly happened with that travel operator?
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
read all about it at :

Well he's claiming it was the airline, but that's not really my point. Regardless of whether it went smoothly or it was the farce it was, we shouldn't have been using someone who was un-licensed and not regulated.

Whos to blame, the club to hire him or the rep in question though for not telling us he was unlicencsed.
'Fascists dress in black and go round telling people what to do, where as priests.....'
Disaster for a club (or anyone) to use an unbonded agency. But the sounds of it i'd be surprised it ye ever got all the money back.
Its a total cop out for the agnecy to claim it was the airlines fault! The agency shoukd pay the Longford supporters & sursue the airline itself.
Sure get the "latvia uncovered" quartet to organise it for ye next time![]()
It was the clubs responsibility to check the firm out. Most travel agents/ operators have the emblem of the regulating body on any stationery they send out. If they don't, and esp. if they come in with a much cheaper quote, then that should raise questions in people's mind. The same goes for insurance companies etc.

Club has made an offical statement on www.longfordtownfc.com/homepage.htm
The club seems to have been a bit naive? Easy to say in hindsight though?
Seems like a case of "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is..."
