That's right.
5 points between us winning and the others losing, no other conditions.

Cobh Ramblers 2:0 Bray Wanderers yesterday afternoon, as per Aertel which continues to be a major source of accuruate information on Irish Football. It was a good week for us.

Any news when the Limerick 37 ( on the up) : St. Pat's Ath ( starting to slip) game will be played?

This win is enough to put UCD into the one match Final of the A Championship.

Greg Bolger from a free kick in the first half and sub Shane Fitzgerald mid-way through the second half.
I missed the first half an hour but UCD were in control throughout.

Shane Fitzgerald followed up on a through ball and got there before the keeper to slide it past him and in off his near post. It just ensured the win if there were any gaffs in the back.

Brennan went to punch one cross and missed the ball which was headed clear and on another occasion he was well positioned to collect a point blank free header by tipping the ball upwards and then grounding it.

Mick Kelly had to limp off after 55(?) minutes with a suspect hamstring (my diagnosis anyway). Brian Shorthall came on for him. Shane Fitzgerald came on around that time but I didn't see who for. He was even more ' Blly Whizz' than usual and drew alot of fouls.

I was sitting under the Bird's Nest in the main stand. It quiet there, people leave you alone, the birds mightn't though.

Billy Brennan; Michael Leahy, Enda Stevens, Tony Doyle, Evan McMillan; Michael Kelly, Ronan Finn, Greg Bolger, Ciaran Nangle; Dave McMillan, John Reilly.

I understand the Final is one match and is played week-ending 09 November.
Two League games to go. But are still relevant to the Players, Officials and Spectators who turn up.

Well done to the lads. It's a testament to the organisational work put into the club behind the scenes that we've been consistently able to perform as one of the best at second string level for about half a decade.

He was sitting in the stands. He may not have realised he was suspended as he was wearing his shorts. But it was sunny and he may have just wanted to show off his legs.

Anyway, he is available again for the remaining games of the season.

Great result. We've been even more dominant this season without the age restriction than ever before. I don't tend to share Harpo's sentiment that the other group will provide the favourites in the final, though ultimately, the favourites tag is meaningless.

Harps beat Sligo 4-0, while Bohs' match was off in the other group. Galway and Cork drew 0-0, Cobh and Limerick play on Wednesday and I can't find anything about Bray v Tullamore.

The name was called to me, I heard 'Boyle' and thought I'd play cool, say nothing and check the website later. I didn't realise Tony Doyle went away I believe I remember two Doyles were at the club when Derek Doyle was here earlier this season.
Error is an positive option.

Favourites tag is for the shared community and I've said two much. But any club can play who they like in this tournament. In the Final, when there's a trophy to be won...

Bray Wanderers Senior side are playing Shamrock Rvs. in a back game in Tolka on Tuesday. Other 'A' games have revolved around the senior side. It may have being postponed.

Match against Cobh postponed. Officially for an unplayable pitch, but that seems nonsense as the weather was grand. Money problems possible with Cobh (either not being able to field a team or not being able to get use of the pitch).

Why do you talk so much crap on threads, you do not have a clue whats going on in cobh, Cobh dont have the UCD big education budget to look after us.
Cobh reserves had a full team for the game v UCD.. your club asked to have the games on the same day to cut expenses in travel ect. Cobh agreed as they have only one pitch that they own fully they arranged to hire Mayfields fai approved pitch, the weather most of the week was not good and we had heavy showers on Saturday we had one at 2pm also. Mayfield deemed the pitch unplayable which they have a right as the spent �m in deveoplment. Cobh tried many other clubs but with a full fixture list and games cancelled due to unplayable pitches they could not get one. Money is not the problemor the reason the game was called off .

Surely it's up to the ref to postpone a game? I assume we'll be awarded the three points, for all the difference it'll make to anyone, as Cobh couldn't provide a pitch for the game.

No your wrong a club can call off a game within two hours before a game if they feel the pitch is unplayable, like Mayfield did, the club then contact both referee and team the game is cancelled.

It the same in Dublin isn't, I remember wen I was playing I travelled to Dublin for a Cup game the council warden call off all games for that day. Match was replayed end of story.

This is a big boys' league now though, not some Phoenix Park thing. If you can't provide a pitch, you forfeit the game.

Dont be so stupit about big boys leagues. Its facts have any of your games being call off or other clubs around ireland, This year due to the weather ... yes they have what do u want a club to do go out and play in a pitch that cost thousands to develop and then play distroy it and then not play in the pitch for weeks after costing the club money. who owns your pitch and who pays to maintain it.. The taxpayers

Wow. Take a deep breath there. PS is being abrasive, but calling someone "stupit" tends to backfire. I'm made to think of this comic:

It seems it's the ref's call to make, not the club's, but we'll see in time.

Oh, and in spite of the grand tradition of Joe Duffy callers, not everything government funded is owned by "the taxpayers", including the university. And the rugby and football clubs here pay to maintain the ground. I suppose most of the money technically comes from taxpayers, but not in the form of tax.

All of this has been explained before, and all this will be explained again. But then, there's no talking to stupit people.

Instead of making drawings read the reply no was call the guy stupit read line by line and you will be able to understand. Again things must be pretty sad when u have to listen to joe and the liveline. Most of us have to work for a living to pay the taxes for ucd to have all weather pitches, oh but the money dont come from taxes the money comes from the goverment who get the money from the students yeah right.

Not taking sides but a condition of having a 1st class licence is having defences against severe weather conditions (storm & flood). In addition, part of the expenses of a league club is subsidising the cost of an appointed match official to conduct a pitch inspection. Jeepers, I thought we had left those Council Wardens behind decades ago. I remember them well

Do l have to draw picture story book for you. But l will try to explain again for you slowly, ucd asked cobh to play bothe senior and reserve games on the same day to cut costs, now l hope you are following.... To have two games three hours beteween each other two pitches are needed, the senior play in st colemans park and the reserve Team had to play in another ground. Mayfield utd fai aproved pitch was picked, the weather was not very good throughout the week and also that saturday. Mayfield as owners refused permission to play the game not cobh ramblers ,
