Moran bows out with a draw

    UCD 0-0 St Patrick's Ath

St Patrick's Athletic and UCD shared the points and a goal free Belfield Park - a tame end to Martin Moran's time as headmaster.
For the SuperSaints, this was a chance to lead the Premier Division table and throw down a challenge to Bohemians. For the students it was a chance to send Moran off with a bang.
Moran stepped into the breach to help guide the club through the traumatic times after Tony O'Neill's untimely death but the way is clear for Paul Doolin to try his luck in the management game.
He has work to do in the next few months though there were encouraging signs. Ciaran Martyn should have scored eight minutes before the break but he fluffed a chance and screwed a shot wide when it seemed easier to hit the target.
He wasn't alone. Poor finishing was the order of the evening and those who turned up were yawning long before the final whistle.

Red face Not a great game

Neither side looked like scoring. I really fail to see where we are going to get goals from this year. Our defence looked a little more secure with Clive in it though.

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
