They'll be going out in the post friday evening.
All burned, just a lack of envelopes is letting me down.
Well, as long as someone is doing this week...

They'd better be good!

SligoBrewer Posted the CD's on friday at 1pm.
Two Cd's don't have the last track dues to iTunes and their drm so I'll be emailing it to both parties.
Mine will be going out on Mon night...
Did anyone get the cd's?
Got it today, Brewer, will be giving it a good listen tomorrow.
Very much liking the look of the tracklisting, whets the appetite in a very good way. Lot of tracks too, is it mixed? Will find out soon enough I suppose.

It is mixed to a certain extent.
The first group of songs are mainly of the arctic monkeys mould, followed by an interlude into slower gentler songs for a while. Then there's the mash up to bring you into mild electro. Nothing too hardcore. Cept for Crystal Castles. Then there's some Bruce to wrap it up followed by the encore that is CC vs Klaxons remix.
Listened to the first eight or nine in the car yesterday - not bad, a few stand-out tracks for me.
Of course, I had to skip to the last one to see if it would live up to the hype!

Nothing wrong with a bit of hardcore electro.
Liking the first half so far, a lot of top tunes from the last while on there, plus a couple I'd not heard. Thumbs ^.
Am looking forward to the rest on the way home tonight, but unlike noby I refuse to be tempted to read the ending.

I have no self-discipline. I begin every book by reading the last paragraph.

In the case at hand that's what I've just had to do; no chance to listen to it 'til now and have to give Brewer some acknowledgement.
So yeah, Brewer I've just been leppin' around the kitchen to the killer-base-lined encore (well ok, it was more affected prancing, but anyway). And I can safely say, having skipped to the end, this CD is worth going through with, undoubtedly a happy ending, no broken hearts 'round here. (betcha loved what I did there! .) I'll give a more inclusive response anon, but I'm familiar with and like most songs from the "Heartbeats" remix on so I'm sure aural delight awaits from the opening Arctic Monkeys salvo to the Klaxons' last paragraph.
FAO Lionel: Do you want to treat us to your mélange of magnificence next week if you're away the week after? Otherwise, and assuming thischarmingman sent his out yesterday or Monday, I think I'm up.
Lads, I'll be sending mine out tonight. I'm really sorry for the delay, especially given how prompt all of you have been with your CD's. It's not that I haven't bothered my ass getting around to it, just had a bit of a crisis the last couple of weeks at home and haven't had much time for anything at all, let alone burning 8/9 CDs. The album will be in the post tonight and you'll soon be hearing all 22 of it's carefully selected tracks. I had the track listing 3 weeks ago and only made one change to it when I looked at it again recently since, so I'm confident with my selections (Although I'll blatantly change my mind as soon as I've posted them.)

Two thumbs up from me Brewer, my favourite mix CD so far. Have a few of the tracks already, but that doesn't diminish from a quality line up
Have a fantastic Erol Alkan mix of that Teenagers tracks that I was thinking of including on my next CD, so not sure if this has pushed me more towards including it or not. Great stuff altogether though Brewer
No worries on the delay charmingman, life was always going to intrude along the way
Thanks, they are now finally on their way.
Thanks for permitting the queue jumping exploits of the Ritchie Kingdom Hoop.
I'll make 'em up over the weekend and have them in the post Monday/Tuesday.
I'm listening to Sligo Brewers CD as I write and am thoroughly enjoying it. It wasn't the prospect of remixes that had me initially worried so much as the suspicion, having read the tracklist, that this was going to be a bit "young" or "Oxygen" for an ageing rocker like me.
But no -it's great -I'd heard some of the stuff before from the likes of Guillemots and MGMT but it's something of an introduction for me to the likes of The Enemy, The National, Lost Shadow Puppets, Teenagers, Justice!.
That's partly what I wanted to get out of this exercise ...new tunes, new artists.
I suspect mine won't be nearly so contemporary sounding but sure we'll slap it together anyway.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
I love Sligo Brewers CD, my far 'hipper' sister thoroughly approved of it and told me these were the bands I should be listening to. She also thnks I'm stuck in the 70's. You have been warned.
