    He had an excellent game against Romania as well. Hagi was peppering him with shots and he made some very good saves. The pass-back rule hurt him but he was a top class keeper for Ireland.

    Packie is easily the second best Irish keeper after Given. Can't believe some on here are stating Alan Kelly was a better option than Bonner he was dreadful. I never remember being confident that Ireland would keep a clean sheet when he was playing for Ireland.
