    Harrington V Slats

Just a few facts about our 2 keepers.

Slats 17 games clean sheets 1
Harrington 14 games clean sheets 7

I think the facts speak for themselves so any one who says Slats should be in insted of harrington needs there head read.

Slats has been a great servant to the club and no one knows that more then me he is a Top man unfortunatley not a top keeper.

Been through all this last week, Slatts keeper in front of worst back four ever, now Andrews and Murphy, and Wolfe back have helped Phil more than anything.

No real doubt about biscuits, but if your happy going forward with a 40 year old so be it. I like the future myself and there's nothing between the two but age, in my opinion.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Sorry, forgot to ask how are you happy with a keeper who can't even kick out the ball? Andrews is some mighty man altogether to do that for Phil.

Shambles, there are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics...

no mate cobh fans are happy with what phil has done in the past and even happer at what hes still doing now playing good standard of games at 40 . so what if andrews kicks the balls out for him biscuits has a injured calf thats why john takes all the kick outs long live phil harrington..

Thumbs down Stats What a cop out

I have got to say, anyone who believes stats in a First division volatile team needs to know the full story.

Slatts keeper in front of worst back four ever,
I saw every home game last season and most the season before.
and Clifford is right you can't compare them.

Anyone who saw the trashing we got from Galway could see the flaws in Harringtons game.

But it has to be said, outside of that with the new back line things have been good, but the Goal keeping needs to be sorted out for the future

I still think that Harrington is a better keeper then Slats I have seen every game both home and away last season and this season and other then the Galway game harrington has not been at fault for to many goals.

Slats was beaten off his line countless times both at home and away last season which had nothing to do with the defence.

Slats is not strong when it comes to controlling the back 4 Harrington is and that makes a big difference.

We definetly need a new keeper but for the moment harrington is the better be.

1 more thing Harringtons first 4 games were in front of a back 4 made up of Kabia ,White, brosnan and murphy and he kept 3 clean sheets.

Just for the record Andrews only kicked for Phil in 2 Games.
