Its a light hearted reply. Don't let your anti-Celtic bias eat you up inside Nige....![]()
I'd hate Celtic bias, be it pro or anti, to become too prelvalent on this board![]()
Should I, or will someone else point out the gaping hole in the logic of this statement?Originally posted by Silvio Dante
Being an irish club they obviously don't want to let the Irishman leave. Understandable....
Maybe you should put her on a leash, agent-man.

Babb was released... thank God.. dole queue is the only place for him...
Babb was told he could leave on a free but nobodys come in for him so he's still with Sunderland, they probably don't have the money to cancle his contract.
how much compensation do you think Celtic are looking for?
it's a bit cheeky, i know they've paid his wages but it's not like he was getting a look in at the club.
The following is taken from Sunderland's Official Website. it doesn't really tell us more than we already know.
Healy, who left Celtic at the end of last season, passed a medical at the Stadium of Light last night after agreeing personal terms with the Black Cats. Now the deal rests on whether Sunderland would have to pay compensation to Celtic.
Under FIFA rules, no compensation is due to an out-of-contract player's former club once he reaches the age of 23, which Healy did in March.
But there is a grey area over the rules involving the transfers of players between English, Irish and Scottish clubs - something the Black Cats and Healy's agent are examining.
A Sunderland spokesperson said today: "We have been in talks with Colin Healy and his agent to agree personal terms and he has passed a medical.
"The situation now is that we are waiting for his agent to confirm that he is free to move to Sunderland on a Bosman and that there will be no compensation due to Celtic.
"Celtic have referred his agent to the International Football League Board agreement, which governs moves between English, Irish and Scottish Leagues under which they say compensation is still payable for a player aged 23 years and under.
"FIFA regulations state that no compensation is payable once a player has reached 23 years. As there is a disparity between the two sets of rules, and as Colin is aged 23, we need this clarified before we can proceed any further."
Like others, I would have hoped that healy would have gone to a Premiership Club, but that doesn't seem likely.
it seems to me that the root of the problem is Celtic's relations with his agent. Stein.
Just hope it doesn't drag on, and hopefully with McCarthy's links with Celtic it won't.
Given the lack of football Breen, HEALY, FINNAN MORRISON will have, WHAT WOULD YOUR TEAM BE FOR THE AUSTRALIA GAME?
JMacH
I can't see Kerr experimenting too much with the side. I think he'll use the game as a loosener for the Russian game so I could see Healy, Breen, Finnan and Morrision all given a run out if they're not injured.
I think the time for experimenting would be after Christmas although I'd like to see Delap and Miller given a run out.
Colin Healy has an accepted an invitation from Peter Reid to train with Leeds United for a week, with a view to signing.
This according to a Sunderland fansite.

it's be a better move for him to be honest, i'd imagine he'd be good enough to win a consistent staring place. He's the type of player that Reid likes too.
having said that he could be in the first division next season anyway.![]()
Apparently Healy is playing for Leeds' reserves this evo, and if he impresses Leeds are prepared to meet Celtic's compensation demands.
Fingers crossed he does well. Can't see Jody Morris, Eirik Bakke, David Batty & co providing much competition for a first team place.

McCarthy's influence is already teling at Sunderland, they scored their fisrt goal in 490minutes tonight in the cup game...
it was an OG![]()
Watched the second half of the Sunderland-Mansfield match (one day I too hope to have a life). The standard of football from Sunderland was absolutely horrendous. All big lumps up the field to Kyle and Stewart. Also good to see too that Kilbane is still as sure footed as a hysterical donkey.
McCarthy started Thornton who looked useful and very keen to get forward, but twice showed absolutely no composure when through on goal. I'm sure a few months of Mick's training will put that right.![]()
Maybe you should put her on a leash, agent-man.
I also watched the last 40 minutes or so,
agree on Thornton.
Thought Babb looked ok, made 2 or 3 crucial tackles, albeit against a Mansfield strikeforce!
Miller came on in the 78th minute for Celtic for his CL debut, heres hoping for many more!!

Are you sure that was his CL debut, I thought he scored in round two?
You are indeed correct and I am half asleep!!, yep he scored against the Lithuaninas Kaunas over there, and also played in the 0-0 return leg at CP, so it was in fact his 3rd CL game!!Originally posted by Slash/ED
