just thinkin of previous matches we have played pats in any cup competition this decade I have counted five:
2001 fai cup we won after a replay keith o connor with the winner
2003 league cup final lost 1-0 to a late dave freeman winner
2003 fai cup final obviously you know the rest
2006 fai cup the famous 4-1 massacre in incicore when nothin went right for us..
obviously nine years ago we lost to pats in a peno shootout in the league cup
Dont think we are goin to win but it would be lovely to bring them to a replay.. strangely enough the last team we were in the bottom flght 1999/00 season we knocked out a top flight club in waterford utd...
u never know in the cup thats the beauty of it.. Im sure Kirbs will get a great reception off us as for that traitor paisley... thought I would never be in McDowells again...

Yup looking forward to this alright. Bloody toughest draw of all for us unbelievably. However it will be a good indication of what exactly we have on our team at present. McDowells here we come. Hopefully a good crowd will come for us too.
Of all the draws to get.... The runaway League leaders. Still it's our specialist competition, maybe the Cup magic is still there, why not, we can but dream of a run to boost our coffers.

Happy enough with the draw, easy ground to get to, and not that far away. With half the gate, we should be able to get something from the game financially, and who knows if Davoren is on his game we could snatch a result
