    Thumbs up U23 squad

Kenna included in squad for tomorrow's night game, Bermo called up after withdrawals. Kenna should start again.

Good to hear. He's really earned it. A number of us had doubts after his form dipped last season around the time McNally was out, but he's been great this year with Shortall.

couldnt agree more, kenna has been great and well deserved but cop on john shortall has been rubbish! kenna has had to do twice the work with shortall beside him.

I meant that he's been great this year while partnering Shortall and not McNally. Shortall hasn't been great.

Connor Kenna started and was substituted after 78 mins. Clean sheet for the Republic Stephen Rice won it at the death.

Gives McMillan a chacne to stake his place, I suppose.

    Gregg
    Mahon---McNally---McMillan---Bermingham
    Fitz (if back)---Finn---King---Doyle
    Timmy---Byrne

Possibly Podge in for Timmy. Team pretty much picks itself at this stage though.

i'd rather have padge in there than doyler, he can be very ineffective at the best of times. atleast padge runs at defenders.

Doyler's much more of a goal threat from the wing.

Moot point anyway as Fitz is injured, so presumably Podge on the right.
