Can't see any reason why we couldn't loan one of Softic, O'Brien or Murphy. Good players but not getting a look in!

It's someone like Colin O'Brien we need.
The last thing we need is another young player with little Premier Division experience.

theres a lot of rumours at the moment, i wouldnt pay much attention to them. the wage thing i dont understand and wouldnt really beleive as the crowds are more than covering them, and theres also the huge sponsorship among other things. theres loads of rumours ranging fropm money talk to hendo losing the dressing room, to davy hill coming back etc etc. i wouldnt believe these stories at all.

thats just usual rumour mill stuff, im confident that the lads will be ok. they have played everyone once after the derry game so they know what to expect in the next 2 phases or 2/3rds of the season.

I'm fairly certain the lads are up to the task of staying up. Defensively, conceding 12 goals in 10 games is not relegation material. If they can just find their shooting boots a few more points will come. The forwards are capable of scoring goals in the Premier Division, it's just unfortunate for us that they have chosen now to go off the boil as it was very important to get off to a good start and get the confidence going.

If they can nick one or two goals in the next couple of games it may just be the break that they need.

they made enough from the city game to pay the wages for up to 10 weeks, and even if they got 1000 for each of the other 4 home games which they definitely did that would be another 50-60k. the costs are 6k a week. and also the massive sponsorship 90k!!!

the crowds arnt huge but they're not bad. and also last year the club at least broke even, thats a fact. so last years expenses are gone and dont come into it. what does come into it though is the debt from the seasons before last years winning season. i dont know how much its costing to maintain that debt, so that could be the stickler/cause of problems.

from the 6k a week figure they would need to be making 12k euro per home game, thats around 1000 people in d gate per game.there is also money made from programme sales, programme sponsorship/ads, match sponsors, pitchside adverts, players sponsors. and also merchandise which is selling at a huge rate, i thought id never see the day when theres so many people especially kids wearing ramblers kits and other things like ramblers jackets.

but on another positive note, if that can be said about debt, in the overall scheme of things that debt is tiny. i know people will disagree but the fact is most individuals in this country of ours are in bigger debt by just buying a house. the debt as far as i know is less than a typical irish house price,250-300k. when u conssider rams to have up to 200/300 members thats not a problem.
id have no problem, chipping into a rovers type thing where each member pays 40 per month, thats 480 per annum per member, by 200people is nearly 100 k.

the things is , not many people make money in football. crazy as it sounds, its true. sure english clubs are huge and they are being crippled by the costs that are required to maintain a club, the higher the level the higher the costs.

true, agree totally. its easy for people to get negative at this time but we have to keep the faith. just as u pointed out its only when you analyse the football figures we're doing quiet well. also 6 of them 12 were conceeded in 2 games away from home, drogs and sligo. so that makes it only 6 goals in 8 gameswe have conceeded when them 2 games are ommited.

Sligo Rovers are meant to be costing 22,000 per week and they are not a million miles away from ramblers in size

big blow for rams and sport in cobh in general today, micheal ahern he who has aided in the getting of number of grants for rams has lost his ministry and thus his power, i was never a political fan of his but was grateful for all the work he did for rams, big blow indeed for club and him

no need to panic but we all know how power and status can oil the cogs and push things along so hope it doesnt slow up any development work

roumour and speculation if its 12000 thats 550 for each player (22 players), average, that means poeple are earning above the average so would be on 7-800 a week, if players are on this i will be at training thursday to kneecap them, i understand paying full time players 700 a week, but not part time, no way,

MSL brigade hard at work in the propaganda hut,

also, we have funding for the north stand, so no worries there, the final stand could be an issue, i hope not

    Lads,

Simple. What we need are GOALS because believe it or not Goals = Points, if we get enough of them.
