I take your point but there's been a general clamour over the last year or two for Wilson to be back up CB, defensive CM etc. too.
For what it's worth I'd have had him on stanby at least. I think circumstances meant we haven't been able to see much of him yet. I see other managers have picked uncapped players for their squads but I can agree with Trap for not changing things too much.
Sounds like he might be on the standby listand might even make the squad. If and that is a big if JOS cannot play. Yesterday afternoon Wilson was sent a text from a member of the FAI asking was he available for selection. No reply was received up to last night.

According to Good Morning Ulster, on Radio Ulster this morning, Marc Wilson has joined the squad as cover, although it wasn't mentioned again (even though they had an eight minute package with Thomas Niblock in Montecatini - he didn't mention Wilson at all, was interviewing someone about ice cream instead).
Newstalk say no one knows if he's replied, as Noely mentioned.

Perhaps it's my Co. Antrim bias but I would be delighted if Wilson ended up in this squad at the expense of one of the non-vital players. If McShane or Kelly pinged their hamstring in training it wouldn't be the biggest disaster in the world.
