    Wexford odds
Click on the name Wexford in the list for Leinster and you will get the history.
The middle of May is where it starts in earnest and Wexford were available at 14/1 to 20/1

Paul Galvins suspension was upheld in his sencond appeal. Some disgrace getting suspended for the year for knocking a book out of the referees hand.

next to striking an official i believe that this is as bad an offence that he could have committed. He also has got a well established track record. In my opinion there was no better player to make an example of.I am a big soccer supporter myself but i believe one of the big weaknesses of the sport is the way that players react to officials decisions. The gaa has to draw a line in the sand and though a few players have to be made an example of so be it.In the mayo/sligo match I believe that mortimer and ohara should have been sent off for their attitudes towards officials

seanfhear i agree with ye there completely.

dont know how i missed this earlier but...

and thank god for that, connaught games should be shown late at night, just after the orieachtas report
When a Connacht team last played a leinster team in the AI Semi Final 2006, which team won .....??? (a connacht team beat a leinster team in the minor as well)...Connacht teams have contested 6 AI Finals (3 Galway, 3 Mayo) since Dublin won the AI in 1995, the Dubs havent made one....

Leinster is more competitive the Connacht but that does not make it better, just means there is a lot of teams of the equally crap standard bar Dublin.......and we are well capable of bursting their over inflated egos as well.....

bennocelt not sure if ye are a dub, but rings the same.

Every year connaughts two main teams are contenders for AI, so yer talking out of yer arse, and the minors from 3 have won all irelands in the last few years. People really dont have a clue about gaelic football, when they talk like that about connaught football.

In fairness, it's a while now since anyone other than Mayo from Connaught have been contenders for the AI.

The Ulster semi final was hard work, there was a suppressed quality about the game. Might have been a slow burn game had Down got a few points on the board in the last 15 mins but Armagh kept píssing on any small fire that Down lit.
It was a far cry from Down's good attacking play against Tyrone.
Consistancy is a hard one for a team like Down but the excellent Dan Gordon stood tall. Coulter looked unfit, strangely ended up playing around midfield. Freetaker Liam Doyle was badly missed as frees were wasted..
Lovely to see two class players like Clarke and McDonnell at the top of their game.
Armagh's defense is well marshalled and when they bother they are among the best movers of the ball in the country. Though you'd have to wait and see how they progress in the game against Fermanagh.
Their midfield was poor so there is plenty of room for improvement.
    Ref did well.

    heres the qualifiers draw:
    Limerick v Meath
    Longford v Laois
    Kildare v Cavan
    Offaly v Down
    Louth v Tyrone
    Tipperary v Westmeath
    Donegal v Roscommon
    Monaghan v Derry

Fairly delighted with a home tie against the Rossies, always good to avoid the other ulster teams! Monaghan Derry will be a real tough battle, impossible to call. other than that theres not much to excite really
Havin a weekend away is quite frankly, lettin ur team mates down!

Monaghan Derry looks like the best clash in the qualifiers. Offaly Down, Louth Tyrone and Kildare Cavan should also be good ones.

Dolan can take some of the blame alright, but I'd be looking at the amount of easy ball the dubs got to turn over in and around westmeaths half back line. they were farting about with hand passes when it wasn't safe to, it was as if it had been beat into them - 'don't kick it out of defence'! it was there for the taking after the 1st 20 mins but they didnt go about it in the right way. Donegal were as bad as any team for this over kill hand passing but thankfully they learned from their mistakes and now give it a big kick when its needed

I have got over teams letting it slip to beat the Dubs when they had the game in their grasp
I would not single out Dolan for blame.
Westmeath made a few changes in the 2nd half in response to the positive changes the Dubs made to shore up their defense. The changes Westmeath made put them at a greater disadvantage, like moving Glennon away from the front line.
Some malaise infected the whole team about the way they did not take the game by the scruff of the neck when the Dubs put their neck down for the chop. You'd almost suspect a fix was on

Dont think you can put it all on Dessie Dolan, some of the possession they gave away was outrageous. Thought there was too much dependency put on Glennon too. Agree with the point about hand-passing, there was a lot of messing around in the back line at times.

As for the draw...Laois at home, I'm not too confident but maybe we could cause a shock ?!

    re Longford Laois

maz and pauro, maybe ye know what the Longford camp is like, but I can tell you the Laois one is stinking at the moment. Talk here is of Kearns last game, players not ar*sed etc. Longford to win for me.

Dont honestly know how we are fixed. I know there was a challenge game planned early last week and was called off, not enough players to field. This is mainly due to the fact most lads were involved with their clubs for championship games. I know a couple of lads called back into the squad, some refused, some are going back.
    Hard to call Kingdom
