eL Clubs in Europe this season

Could this be the first season (ever?) where all eL clubs will progress a round?
Rovers and Bohs have done it, and having seen the Highlights of the Cork vs Shels match I quite facy Shels to do a job too. So that leaves Derry, they're a battling side and might just do it.................

it'd be class, and would add to the immediate impact that the switch to summer football has made.

i think we'd all love to see it, with Keely at Derry now i wouldn't be surprised to see them grind their way through.

Derry will not progress - their euor game record is very poor anyway.

$hel$ have a chance though playing away from home first.

Actually our record isn't that bad.

We always seemed to be drawn against very good sides.

Twice against Vittesse Arnem from Holland were we have managed two draws (one away) and a 1-0 and 3-0 defeat on agg.

We also lost only 2-1 to Benfica the year they reached the European cup final.

We lost 2-1 on agg to a good team from bul the last time in the European cup in 97 winning our home game 1-0 and being robbed in the away leg.

With all change at the Brandywell we might get a decent result but the team we're playing APOEL Nicosia have played 75 teams in euro competition in the past 25 years and normaly reach the 3rd round. They are (apart from last season) the best team in Cyprus with the biggest support and have seven or so internationals playing with them.

But with up to 300 Derry fans going to Cyprus and with them only being in pre-season maybe we have a chance and if the tie is still alive for the 2nd leg in the BrandyHELL then hopefully we can continue the good work set by Rvrs and Bohs in europe so far this season.

As you's know from recent expeience Derry are a good cup team and can be very hard to beat!
