Phone call from Brian Kerr perhaps?
    Schadenfreude?
I thought they didn't get on with each other.

Given his reputation for being a grump so and so I think I should post this again:

I was shocked when I saw it. Suprised with Duffer too. There's another video with Duff and Keane up at the bar in a packed Celtic pub. I didn't think that was Duffs scene.

On what basis are you saying Carr was overpaid ? Any why was he the first to be overpaid?

Speculation on his possible return to Newcastle:
Newcastle United seem likely to end their quest for a new right-back by re-signing the man they released in the summer - Stephen Carr...

"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

Kinnear dismissed that earlier today, saying that he had enough fullbacks returning from injury.

Should this thread not be in History Section or World Football since if I recall correctly he's retired from international football
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

It's not a joke, before his injury he made the Premership team of the year and even chipped in with a few classy goals like this one:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDM52QpNTTs

Then he got injured and missed Irelands first major championships in 8 years and when he came back from his injury he became an ordinary EPL-class RB. Instead of one of the best young players in Europe in his position. Of course he should be grateful that he could still play at such a high level for the next 6 years but after his breakthrough at Spurs he probably had much bigger plans. I agree he appears to be a grumpy ****** but it is sort of understandable.

    Irish praha you are correct
Stephen Carr was never the same player after his injury.
It must be hard to take as a player when you know better than anyone what might have been.
