    Cobh

Another win and Rowe on the mark again. We should have scored a few more but Cobh could have nicked a point. They are a decent side and will certainly cause trouble to a lot of sides this season especially at home. Things are looking up at the moment after a bad start to the season.

Drogs next Friday will be the test of how far we've come over the last few weeks.

Delighted to get the win, we are no EIGHT points clear of relegation.

It wasn't a great performance from us but we did what we needed. Great for Rowe to score again. Things are looking up and we've now started taking the points from the teams around us which is most important.

    Bring on Rovers!

Well I got down to my first match of the season last night, along with 2 friends and was pleasently surprised with the quality of football played overall.
(Especially want to see the highlight of the post being hit on RTE on Monday - it was one of those that you're begging to be a goal to cap the move)

I thought we played some nice football at times, passed it well and created some nice chances (little triangles of passing from a Bray team?) - I thought Cobh looked better than a second from bottom team too - I don't know if that is a reflection on them or on Bray.

It's a pity we didn't score a second to wrap things up and we looked particularly nervy at the back in the final 10 minutes - what was up with that? We're 1-0 up and they had more than a few 3 on 3's with us looking like we were missing personel at the back?

Anyway, it was good to get back down again - I'll be sure not to leave it so long again.

Wink Not best performance of the season

Well we got the three points but it was not our best performance of the season. We have played better and lost but winning ugly still gives you three points and thats what matters at the end of the day.The good thing is that we are still tryi ng to play good football and at last we are getting used to that at the Carlisle Grounds, so well done Eddie.Cobh weren't a bad side they also played some good football and will probably feel they maybe should have got a point.Cobh will cause problems to some of the the top teams .

Cobh were awful in attack on Friday, but they coped with what little was offered in the first half, Paddy Kavanagh's snap shot all that troubled. Good 20 min spell at the start of the second half was enough to produce the only goal of the game, excellent delivery as usually from Alan Cawley, who had a very good game. The last 20 mins was very poor though. Ball given away cheaply a number of times, Derek Pender looked as though he didnt want to touch the ball, not sure if fitness is a problem but looked very nervous as times, even Daz was guilty of sloppy passing.

Three points stolen is probably fair but its good to see that wins are coming without performing well.

I wouldn't say we stole 3 points on Friday, yeah they had chances but we had even better chances. Nothing wrong with our disalowed goal, hit the post and bar in the 1st half, hit the post in the 2nd half and Dunphy's miss was shocking !

Would it be crazy to say that 3 points against Drogheda is not a dream, it's actually a reality an could well happen?

Have to defend better than Friday night but capable of scoring against anyside, so definetley have a chance. Drogheda have picked up of late and Pats apart we are probably the two form teams in the league at the moment.

Bray and Sligo are the form teams in the league with 4 wins and 1 draw in their last five. Pats and Drogs both have 4 wins and 1 loss.

On form we can take Drogs but just looking at their team it'll be a real test for us. It'll let us know how far the lads have come and how far we can go.

Wonder what team Eddie will play tonight.
