    Sean Prunty

Anybody see the piece on MNS about Prunty? Town legend!! It's sad to see it end like that and how he mighn't get the compo. Thought it was decent though, good to see he's not down over the whole thing.

Yeah absolute legend for us over the years & greatly respected in Longford. Hopefully he can get involved with LTFC in a coaching capacity. We shall see.

Talk of a benefit game between Longford and Drogs for Sean.
Thought Flancare dressing rooms could do with a lick of paint

Doctors found some kind of irregularity in his heart during some sort of regular check up, it was either a standard FAI one or one that Drogheda did when he signed.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Heartbreaking for Sean. One of the game's true gentlemen. Hope the two clubs can do something for him. The video is available here.

Dont know the first thing about the medical checks and what they look for but credit to Drogs medical staff for spotting it as well. It was something that probably was over looked a few years back (from what i gather anyway)
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

SADS as far as I know is something which is very hard to detect and Sean has been very lucky to have been diagnosed. It can only be detected in life and not in a post mortem etc.
He has a second chance at life, where others have not been so lucky
Ever get the feelin' you have been cheated?
