    U-21's

    Did the Under-21's play today?
I went out to Curraheen thinking it was on there @ 2 but no sign of any game.
Had I the wrong time, place or day?

    i thought it was four?
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

Didn't start until about 4.30 for some reason.
Couldn't go back out at that stage.

the match got moved from 2 to 4.30, something to do with ul not being able to make the 2 o'clock kick-off.

for the record city won 1-0 with packer scoring just after half-time

    team:

    mcnulty,

    aherne, lordan, hedderman, lally

    nolan, mulconry, buckley, packer

    behan, cp o'brien

Packer was the main reason I went out, I wanted to see him play.

    That's good to hear.
I wonder has he got what it takes to be an integral part of the Rebel Army at first team level!

i still think he's got a lot to learn, he's still a bit headless, and gets knocked off the ball a little easily. training with flynny should help him and give him pointers though. needs more match practice.

how did packer do, don't see the point of having signed him on a short term contract to play U-21

Colin P has the potential to be another John O'Flynn - if he could learn to make runs like O'Flynn he has the pace to get some good chances.

Any report on Packer? If hes to be good enough for the first team he'd have to excell at u-21 level...

Was the best performance from A city team I've seen in awhile! Heartening. People should try it some time!!
