interesting..... if true i wonder why? Wont look good on Gavins CV if he was captain of Irelands most famous football club () and then gave it away!

    best of luck Conor

On Peers part it could be the sign of a strong character or a man feeling some pressure. Id hope its peers just wanting to concentrate more on defending.
Almeida may have been a strong shout for captain. Good presence and not afraid to speak his mind - he gave Butler a right bollokin in Derry when he got got out of position, and it didnt happen again.

    Good luck to ya Connor
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

I had noticed Conor lead the team out at a few games recently and do all the Captain things before the game..photos call the toss etc. with Peers on the pitch, he never appeared to wear the armband that I thought was mandatory, nobody could put any light on it. Was he vice captain all season anyhow?

    Good luck to him..

    Next stop Shams!
