Talking Jacks Army Remembered and Monster Auction Benefit Night

(Posted with the permission of Dahamsta)

    Well Lads,

Our club (Crusaders AFC, Waterford) is hosting a benefit night in aid of club development this July. To celebrate 20 years since Euro '88, we are having evening "Remembering Jacks Army and Monster Auction" featuring at least 15 items of memorabilia donated by the players including Niall Quinns match worn 1990 World Cup shirt amongst others, Special Guests, Video, Music, Buffet and 80s/90s disco.

Details of the items up for auction are posted at the clubs website (http://www.crusadersafc.net). We are looking for bids on each item that will be considered on the night. You can email me (bid@crusadersafc.net) your starting and highest bid along with Item Number and/or Item Name. Also include your contact details.

I will confirm that your bid has been recorded by reply email/PM.

Tickets for the night will be on sale shortly. If anyone is interested or has any questions about any of the items, just PM me and I'll do my best to answer you. Admission is by ticket only and limited.

    regards,

    The Blob

No bids in yet on the larger items but lots of interest.

A couple of bids in for €200 on the replica jerseys. If anyones bid is surpassed Ill let them know by email.

Haven't publicised yet but papers and radio will start to carry the auction soon.

So you saw it here first.
    ----------------------
Ill put up pictures of Terry Phelans (replica)jersey that was signed at the "Players through the ages" function from last March prior to the Ireland v Wales match by some of those who attended.

Update : Additional items to those listed on the site:

    1) I will have a Alan McLoughlin match worn Ireland shirt for auction
    2) I will have a replica shirt signed by the Ireland squad and Mr Trappatoni from his first game against Serbia.

In regards to the night in question, Ray Houghton and John Giles will be in attendance to help celebrate the occasion.

Just a short note to say that the Auction planned for July 11th will now be deferred until later in the year due to circumstances beyond our control.(Probably looking at November now)

In regards to the items listed, nothing changes. All are still up for auction and bids are still being accepted.

    Apolgies all round.
