    monaghan utd game

surprised that noone has talked about the game so far.. We were in far better shape than for a long time .. Ryan O Donnell seemed to have made a bit of a difference to our back four.. Delighted Daire finally got off the mark! Gary Murphy two goals were flukes! second half nothin much happened.. Unbeliavbly after going two league games without scoring we are joint scorers in the league..

enda would be so proud of the team supporters and section o! thanks magicme and a few others who came over to our side for the minutes silence which was immaculately observed!

Bit harsh to say the two Murphy goals were flukes. He knew what he was doing, slightly lucky maybe but not flukes. Defence dealt with whatever Monaghan had to offer well. Nice to see that three of the back four were former under 21s, current in Bermingham's case. He doesn't play like an 18 year old. Three locals in the starting line up plus Chucky who's pretty local too. Always nice to see. All in all, lots to be satisfied with on Saturday, on and off the field.

He was on trial with us last season as far as I recall, then signed for Monaghan. Yeah, I thought the second goal was going wide too. Luckily it didnt.

Probably the shock of the win silenced us! Thank god they looked a lot better but Mons were fairly poor i thought, not much of a second half to critique! I hope that gives Murphy the little bit of confidence he needs to finisher better from now on.
